You dont understand that they are only popping up this fast cause of the >80% regs in it? Who will obv not play them anymore when they have >10 tickets or something(which can be after the first session) or just skipping them anyways.
I like the idea of first must play also think this ticketscenario is ok for MTT-Sats but for SNG-Sats its a total desaster.
Planed a lockdown this series with a lot of games now i will just play a few tournaments(will not be the only one) but maybe you like getting less rake...

Luke, seriously why the **** have you made EVERY mixed event have up to THREE re-entries allowed? (aside from Stars' greed obviously.)
This is genuinely awful. It partially ruins an otherwise good mixed schedule.
It is particularly bad for the Highs. And you haven't even adjusted the guarantees accordingly. E.g. the $2k 8-game only has a 75 person guarantee. Which is just absurd with 3 re-entries possible. It will smash it.
As well as other reasons like killing the prestige of these events, especially for the highs, and which will now be far more reg-heavy.

You didn't address or ask us at all about this. I think the majority of mixed players would be against this. All the people I've spoken to about it today are.
People asked questions about this earlier in this thread, but you didn't answer.
Imo this is particularly ridiculous after so many people earlier in this thread asked for less rebuys. And you said that you had less rebuy events. But ofc that's only for NLHE.
I personally prefer some of them as freezeouts, but at most they should be just 1 re-entry like last last year's COOPs.

For the love of God please take it down to 1 re-entry. At least in some of them.

Do you have a general estimate what time ET you expect day 2 to finish for the Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday Medium and High Main events? For example these events:


SCOOP-31-H: $2,100 NLHE, $1M Gtd 14 May 14:00 $1,000,000*
SCOOP-37-H: $2,100 NLHE [Super Tuesday SE], $1M Gtd 16 May 14:00
SCOOP-44-H: $2,100 NLHE [Progressive KO, Thursday Thrill SE], $1M Gtd 18 May 14:00

And the medium versions for the above events would end earlier or later?

Have some evening obligations that cannot be canceled Monday, Wednesday, and Friday's so trying to figure out if these events are playable or not.


Also the 10k scoop main event is only a 2 day event correct? Not a 3 day event?

Not Luke but others have shown a really strange ability to completely mispredict the length of a tournament, I would just calculate it.

Day 2 starts at lvl 19. Assuming 600 players for each of these, you'll have 12M chips in play in #31, it should end somewhere between 25k/50k and 50k/100k or 7-9 hours of play on day 2. The other two have 6M in play but a bunch of extra levels and probably end between 15k/30k and 30k/60k, or 10-13.5 hours of play. This does not include breaks.

SCOOP begins on Sunday! I just have a few items to catch you up on…

1. There is a VIP Bash tomorrow @ 13:00 ET. It costs 5,000 StarsCoin to enter and has five seats added to the first $1,050 Phase 1. Sit & Go satellites are available.
2. SCOOP Challenges are underway and offer great value. You can complete the challenges once this week and next week to gain entry to $50K ticket freerolls.
3. Event 05 Low's guarantee has been increased from $75K to $100K. When making the schedule, we had not planned to run a SCOOP PLO Spin & Go. It has added a slew of players to the $27 Low and as a result we're making this one time guarantee change.
4. The Super Tuesday and Thursday Thrill will begin at 14:30 ET next week instead of 14:00 and will have lower guarantees and fewer satellites. This is due to Event 01 High running at 14:00 ET daily. These majors have the most crossover and we'd like the focus to be on SCOOP.
5. The Mini Kickoff and Mini Million will not be replaced on May 7th. We'll evaluate the results on May 8th and make a decision for the rest of the Series.
6. Events 02, 10, 23, 24, 28, 29, 39, and 50 have had 14K/28K and 70K/140K levels added.*
7. Events 14 and 38 (Razz and Stud8) will begin with 50 bets instead of 100 but some levels have been added resulting in late registration ending at approximately the same point. The objective of this change was to provide more meaningful play at the start of these Events.*
8. Event 01 High's structure has been altered. Day 1 has been extended by 30 minutes but will end on the same level.
9. I'm in the process of deploying satellites for Event 01 through Monday. Guarantees will be adjusted for future iterations based on results.

I get to play these tourneys like once in a blue moon so I'll trade some "EV" for getting to play for more than an hour if i get bad beat in the first lvl or some ****

I can see a 109 mtt sat to the super tuesday being OK for this since there are like 1-3 of them that run. shootouts pop off a lot more..,

yeah some regs grind these games, I know how much you hate hearing about how there are some people that win at poker, but you get heaps of recs in the MTT from playing them anyway by winning a seat to the target since the 16s-36s are insanely high variance and anyone can win a seat in them.

if you have to change for the sake of change, why not make a change that your FIRST seat won is a ticket, and once you have earned your ticket to the target, then all additional wins will be T$. Isn't that way better? Since you get people spreading their T$ action over a variety of MTTs instead of just the target.

The problem with making every seat won a ticket is you incentivize the guys who grind these games to not play beyond winning their seat, and then the games will not run as much once the target tournament is running - which you do realize, if you play a SNG during the MTT when it runs you are FORCED to play anyway.

I do recall a day where the 16 mans did not show up in the lobby for the big 55/ hot 55 and a couple other mid day tourneys and you guys had DROPPED the guarantees significantly. Let that be a warning sign that maybe you shouldn't try to fix something that is not broken.

Last year they made everybody advancing be itm, assume it's the same and looks like exactly 10% have been advancing so solid structure too

In the phase tournaments can you play multiple phase 1's to get a bigger stack for phase 2? Or is it your first qualifying stack that counts and then you cannot play any further phase 1's? Apologies if this is a dumb question / has already been answered
