Lol are they really trying to axe the PKO? That tournament is awesome and I've never see anyone ever say otherwise.

About time. Very nice!

2014 Spring Championship of Online Poker - Schedule (Draft)

I think nearly everyone would love to say a few PKO's. At least one should be included.

17:00 - Ev 12: Triple Stud [Big Antes]
L: $16.50, M: $162, H: $1575

Very good idea to add this, but why Big antes? It has already been very gambly in Stud Hi and Razz with normal 1/10th antes whenever it was offered, no need to enhance that at all. I'd definintely prefer to see it with normal antes, instead of making it a crapshot with big antes

17:00 - Ev 33: PL Omaha [Turbo, Zoom]
L: $10.50, M: $105, H: $1025

Good idea to lower the buy-in for this turbo, imo.
Though, I would prefer reg-speed or "speed-down"(roughly the same as escalator on FT, right?)

14:00 - Ev 41: 8-Game [2 Day]
L: $16.50, M: $162, H: $1575

Great move to make it a 2day Event!!!
Where is the official PokerStars-Rep?
Anyway, good changes in the games I care for.

for once, please make the schedule more Asia timezone friendly. All of us asia based players really hate the idea of waking up in the mid night to play and living like vampires where we can't get to see the sunshine.

+1, As one of, if not the largest, emerging market for PokerStars its mind boggling to me how unaccommodating every tournament series is for players based in Asia.

would really like a regular 50r sat to 2k ticket with similar structure to 100r to wcoop main.

aside from that not too many turbo rebuy sats plz, when you don't allow last minute latereg they are so withering to play the rebuy period of. personally would grind a lot more if they were freezeouts.
start them asap, you could have main event and unspecific 2k ticket sats running now without the schedule needing to be finalised.

Offering generic sats (Mains, 2k, 215) already would be a great idea!

11:00 - Ev 37: NL Hold'em [1R1A]
L: $27, M: $215, H: $2,100

Boom!

Perfect event for the perfect day and time. Hopefully it's not, for example, 5k starts stacks with 5k rebuy and a 5k add on when the add on is equivalent to like 10bb or something as was the case during some previous series (micromillions I believe?)

I like the idea of having a NLHE turbo event to close off each day. Would have preferred to see these events as 4th events each day though, rather than replacing a regspeed event. At the very least, Saturdays and Sundays ought to have 4 events each.

Hope to see the completed schedule in the client asap so I can begin the wonderful satelite grind! The TCOOP satelite schedule was great, with FPP feeder steps to huge Dealine sats for each event. Hope to see that reproduced along with a ton of 3xt sats to the Med and High events.

It's not like there hasn't been people clamoring for turbos in these threads in years past. Everyone just happened to figure out they suck by the time Stars made it happen. It's all a giant punt fest anyway, who cares.

^^ No problem with some turbos generally in the schedule , just (a) adjust the rake and (b) don't use them to replace regulars, esp the best deep structure tourneys we get to play each year (SCOOP).

Based on their popularity it seems like I'm in the minority but like david I'm also not a big fan of rebuy turbo sats (in particular 2x/3x turbos), it's just so annoying/tough to mix them in with other games while keeping focus on optimal strat during the rebuy period.

Also have never played the SCOOP 4max, but the few 4max tourneys in the regular schedule generally play (very) deep - mainly because people bust so quickly - so not sure whether making it a 'turbo' is THAT bad (depending on the exact structure of course). I don't think a 2k with like 200BB+ avg stack where everyone is just nitting it up is optimal. As I said though, no experience with the 4max of the previous SCOOPs.

it plays deep because people are not nitting it up on avg

Ya that didn't make much sense the way I wrote it. What I meant was that people bust quick in the early levels due to there being many weak spots and 4max = max edge and max action, but when it gets deeper most people left are either ICM-aware pros or scared money, meaning lots of laddering/stalling taking place, especially if the structure is slow enough / the avg stack deep enough to allow that. Once again though, no experience with the previous SCOOP 4max events, so I may just be talking out of my ass.

Avg stack @ start of FT was 100BB for M and H last year, so indeed not really as over the top as I thought it would be.

It's SCOOP, I don't think having 100bb stacks deep is a problem when there will be very aggro dynamics 4handed.

If people were nitting it up deep then the avg stack would drop way down since no one is busting, if it stays deep it means people are still busting. I haven't played a scoop-H 4m so I don't remember how long it took.

Agreed. A couple on the schedule is ok, but they should be a bit smaller in buy-in and the rake should be lowered.

IMO SCOOP and WCOOP shouldn't really have ANY turbos (except for the last event).

11:00 - Ev 10: PL 5-Card Omaha Hi-Lo [6-Max, 1R1A]
L: $7.50, M: $82, H: $700

17:00 - Ev 27: PL 5-Card Omaha Hi/Lo [6-Max, Turbo, Rebuys]
L: $11, M: $109, H: $1,050

unreal to change a solid turbo rebuy to a normal 1 rebuy 1 add on event man all these changes suck

It's not really making other people play at a different time, more making a tournament or two in a more accessible time for a different section of the customer base.
