While it was 100% obvious from the start he wanted to donate x entries(+-40) to the charity each week and hope he'd create an extra profit for the charity like this? Didn't they spend like 60% of the time of MP10 talking about how balla and rich he is and how he's constantly borrowing people a few k's and has no idea who owns him what etc?
Why would he try to do this then?
Not confirmed yet that he will for sure. That's right, he said he raised around $7,000 on both Mad Poker 9 and 10. Now, he definitely is making the argument to send in the net profits (so $3,000-5,000 less than that $7,000 figure). I sent him a Skype message and an email warning him that this would not be wise. If he doesn't want to, that it is his prerogative as a "different" type of person than I am used to dealing with. However, legally, reputation wise, etc., it is a different story. If he wants to settle this somewhere other than 2+2, etc., it is up to him. I know the hospital is taking this very serious and Dr. Feusner and his office are very concerned.
Some of these people think I am out to get him but I have not filed a criminal complaint yet and I have received many 2+2 PM's asking me to do this. This is not my opinion I have verified 100% that I could with multiple law enforcement agencies and I explained to them the whole situation and read them Nick's quotes from this thread. And, I tried to settle this privately with Nick via email and Skype and he just ignored me for awhile and then told me to go away. He only really responded when I told him I was going to start posting on 2+2 and go to the hospital and try to verify these donations myself. If I really wanted to get Nick, I would have never posted on 2+2 and just filed a criminal complaint so someone with some real power (ie, subpoena/judicial power, etc.) could really get to the truth and maybe some form of justice IF he did something illegal and that is not certain at all. I knew it would be an easier way to go because I don't like posting on here especially on topics like these and maybe it is still the proper route.
"Why would he try to do this then?"
From what I have seen, Nick is not rich or anything close to that. I think it is part of the "Nick" show for his ego and to build his school, staking business, and his quest to become an online pro. I have been told he has many backers that he owes a lot of money. He has had 2 cars repossessed in the past year or so. His registration on his current vehicle expired 2 years ago or something like that (until he recently got pulled over by the police and subsequently took care of it). Also, there are many other private things that people asked me not to say (by people who never have said anything on 2+2 or anywhere about Nick). There is nothing wrong with being broke (ie, me) but with my experiences with Nick, some of the things listed here, and especially the private things lead me to think that Nick would probably think that sick kids were a bunch of worthless losers and would never give his own money to such a cause and he probably couldn't afford to give away $500/week anyways. From the sounds of it, he does have some money now after his post-WSOP cash and cash game success so he should be able to make the donation. While I was in Las Vegas, as far as I could tell, Bodeye and Aaron paid for everything (e.g., meals, furniture, show tickets, airline tickets, cell phones, probably the rent on the "mansion", etc., etc.). Also, from what I could tell, Aaron and Bodeye staked all of the players in Nicks' staking business. And maybe Aaron and Bodeye provided the funds for this "Qtr Million Freeroll steak for a good cause", too. If Aaron and Bodeye did provide the money for this, then it didn't cost Nick anything to do this in the first place and it would totally undermine his whole assertion that why would he do something so unprofitable as a scheme. If it was a scheme (and that has not been proven at all), he may have thought no one would ever check up on him and if they tried to, he would just say he gave it anonymously and would not go this far with trying to verify the donations. I really don't know all of the details or if this was a scheme but what I do know and saw concerns me greatly about Nick and his intentions.
