I am sure that they will not give out personal information over the phone, many posts on 2+2 are no where near the truth and lies. I donated nearly $500 every week for a few weeks to people so they could play the tournament and we could raise money. I myself planned on matching whatever we raised and as you can see, when trying to do something nice and help a lot of people, all you do it get hated on.

He just sent me a PokerStars withdrawal confirmation email in the amount of $206.76 from 4/1 but its authenticity is impossible to verify and he gave no further explanation. I asked for clarification but haven't heard anything back. Unless I hear back from him tonight, I will contact the Hospital tomorrow and see if they received any donations in April in the exact amount of $206.76 because I will just have to go off what he posted below...

And, on 3/30, he even said he withdrew the money and was going to send it after the first week...

Can a mod not just un-ban him for one day just so he can explain what is going on here? True, like PLO said, we shouldn't automatically assume he did not send the funds, but there should be a one time unbanning so he can clear this up. Real kids, real hospital, enough said.

Cliffs are Nick did something generous (gave out free stakes) and promised to do something charitable (donate 50% of winnings to the hospital).

That money needs to be donated, especially because of all the other stuff that went on in this thread (as LizardKing pointed out), where other 2+2ers sent Nick money in order to stake more people for the initiative.

Holding off on donating the money, for whatever reason, just comes across as really shady.

I think $7k+ and I'm not sure that a reason was actually ever given for Rainey being banned, someone correct me if I'm wrong?

He said he was never going to post on 2+2 again in the last post I saw of his. So either a self-ban or a mod helped him keep his word?

If Nick would like to explain himself, I hope he could get unbanned. Charity isn't something which should be toyed around with. I'm not saying Nick is doing it, but there are allegations that he is. I really am in no position to interpret his email in favor of one thing or the other.

A lot of ad hominem in this thread is pointless. Who cares if Ray is 70 and stays with his parents. Let him do what works for him, or what's convenient for him. What he brought up is important to the community.

Nick's generosity is definitely amazing (if proven...primarily since allegations have been brought up against it). No one questions Barry Greenstein's motives do they? If Nick can clear up the allegations, I think it really helps his cause, and a lot of people would realize his online persona doesn't necessarily reflect the kind of person he is IRL.
