I just wanted to quickly thank everyone for their posts and well wishes, I've read them all and they made me very happy. I wish the very best for every single one of you as well, hope you guys will continue to crush poker.
I'm starting in my first full-time, real-life job in 9 years next week. I wasn't looking to get employed so quickly (really wanted to take some time off and dabble in some more creative projects), but I had literally the best job imaginable thrown at me without even applying for it and just had to accept. Super pumped about the job, I don't really want to go into too much detail about what it is (I want to get a fresh start etc) but it should fit me perfectly. I might be a wee bit underqualified for it, but I have no doubt I will crush. Exciting times ahead.
Poker-wise, man it's crazy to realize how little gas I've had left in the tank for quite a while now. You get used to doing something for years and years and it can be really difficult to realize when it's time to let go. In all honesty I think the gto point for me to quit would have been a couple of years ago already, but I just kept floating on ahead without achieving anything of significance. Things ended up working out great for me in the end (I always seem to get lucky when it comes to the most important things in life) so I can't be too hard on myself, but I do certainly feel like I wasted a couple of extra years playing poker for no reason. Oh well, live and learn.
Thanks everyone for support once again, I hope to see you around
