Miika, in your article at Upswing you compare grinding 22 mtts w/ 100 afs and 2k afs. In both cases you assign same 30% rio for var calculator....
People opt for larger buy-in mtts bc edge is higher there obviously.

As a behind the scenes lurker since I quit a while back, wanted to drop a quick word and say good luck for the future.

I agreed with almost all of your assessments about poker, being a poker player and poker way of life. Do not worry, you will kick ass in real life jobs as well, it is not that hard

All the best

Am I the only one that thinks from an odds perspective this bet was awful?

I mean 1:1 and no shot taking? I'm not even sure if any of the world's biggest crushers could do it, let alone someone who has been out of it.

If no shot taking, I'd want better odds, if there was shot taking allowed, 1:1 isn't bad, but still not great either.

Good luck Chuck I hope you can leave the game behind. One day you will wish you did it much sooner

WRT to your run bad. I’ve seen you complain about that a lot. Good chance you are being colluded against and probably software cheated and who knows what else
gggl

I just wanted to quickly thank everyone for their posts and well wishes, I've read them all and they made me very happy. I wish the very best for every single one of you as well, hope you guys will continue to crush poker.

I'm starting in my first full-time, real-life job in 9 years next week. I wasn't looking to get employed so quickly (really wanted to take some time off and dabble in some more creative projects), but I had literally the best job imaginable thrown at me without even applying for it and just had to accept. Super pumped about the job, I don't really want to go into too much detail about what it is (I want to get a fresh start etc) but it should fit me perfectly. I might be a wee bit underqualified for it, but I have no doubt I will crush. Exciting times ahead.

Poker-wise, man it's crazy to realize how little gas I've had left in the tank for quite a while now. You get used to doing something for years and years and it can be really difficult to realize when it's time to let go. In all honesty I think the gto point for me to quit would have been a couple of years ago already, but I just kept floating on ahead without achieving anything of significance. Things ended up working out great for me in the end (I always seem to get lucky when it comes to the most important things in life) so I can't be too hard on myself, but I do certainly feel like I wasted a couple of extra years playing poker for no reason. Oh well, live and learn.

Thanks everyone for support once again, I hope to see you around
