After long and careful consideration I agree with OP.

seems cool incentives for fish and micro players to play more volume/longer hours and keep the games soft as people chase more rewards couldn't hurt.

i like it also

I like the concept - especially that it combines the different achievement programs into one.

Right now they have:
- TLB (for MTT's)
- Battle of the Planets for SnG's
- Nothing specific for cash, but VPP/FPP's are for Cash players - a low stakes / recreational tourney player is not accumulating enough points to get much value.

This type of a system would allow a recreational player - who plays many different games - to get "recognition" that can be pooled together into a reward.

(Actually, as I'm typing this, I'm wondering if VPP's really do the same thing, and the issue is that the value for a small stakes player is low...)

A possible addition to what you suggest (in terms of achievements that can be created) would be cross-game-triple-crown "type" things. You win, in a month, a $2/180, $7.7/180, $12/180 and $36/180, you get points.

Dunno - the opportunities are endless.

I like the idea alot. However, I feel that alot of non-regs will simply focus their game rather than play more hours. For example, there might be a player that plays any and all micro sit n gos. But with this in place, that same person may just play a single type of sit n go. So they could still be playing the same amount of tournaments per month, but instead, all they are doing is playing a more focused set of games. However, anything that gets more rewards for the players i stand behind 100%.

This is a great idea. Just mimic/modify the xbox achievements. I imagine Stars target group is 18-30 y/o males and this would be a great way to get more of that group and to get the ones already playing to play more.
