Wheeeee! It doesn't feel like a proper WCOOP until Stars has issues on a Sunday

Leaving us in limbo with no communication. Having to sit by our computers for who knows how long in case it suddenly starts again and we bleed chips

A good friend of mine has who has played stars since 2006 rarely plays on stars now. He said that the promotions were insane comparative to today’s promos which by all accounts is gambly form of poker since amaya took over.

I know no different but he told me about the promos as follows;

-Battle of the planets sit n go leaderboard
-MTT Leaderboard
-Decent Carnival promos
-Rake back for Supernovas and elites (Sounds exciting)
-Could buy a super car with accrued player points
-Turbo takedown
-MTT’s with huge prizes for little buyin
-Sunday Mill and Warm-up attracting life changing money if binked
-Million/billion hands awarded amazing prizes
-Cash games were insane (Removed HU and FLH wtf) with great rakeback
-Could win multiple comps for live games and keep the rest as tournament $

And so on. What other promotions were incredible that have since died of death that you can recall?

the Christmas Calendar promo
one day was always win two 180man Sit and go
and you would get a prize between 50 and 5000$
Ev of that promo was like 500$
tournament tickets for deposits during scoop and wcoop
random other deposit bonus ****

weekly freeroll tournaments for silverstar goldstar
goldstar was 30k or so

On the ES software, why has the auto-fold box been moved to where the call button will pop up? So easy to misclick.

Also, since the last update, the main lobby pops up when I close the replayer. Is there a way to turn this off?

Only 1 Zoom tournament in the entire series with 180 events even Zoom HU gets more and more popular.
And then its a $ 215.. It should have been a $ 55 instead.

Whats even worse is that this tournament is only 75 minutes after the $ 215 HU PSKO Saturdays Duel. I mean seriously??

Also what is this structure?


- 62,5bb startstack instead 200bb compared to the saturdays duel
- less blind levels
- less timebank
- higher ante

I think many people will play the Saturdays Duel instead of the Bounty Series one because of the much worse structure (unless you cancel Saturdays Duel).
In the past tournaments in an event series used to have deeper structures than normal tournaments. I would be very surprised if this tournament wont have an overlay.

Using mercury theme has this (aswell?) on ES. Very annoying and already made too many misclicks because of it.

3 things for new PokerStars owners, BetFair staff:

1) read this thread and answer like the old times.
2) bracelets for WCOOP events. (Maybe gold for High tier, silver for medium tier and bronze for low tier).
3) watches for SCOOP events. Movados maybe.

WCOOP is the most important series ever when we talk about online poker. We really need a better approach for this amazing series. Used to be perfect with the bracelets and PokerStars covering events.

Yeah Stars was pretty cool back then. Why they dont bring back SN/SNE is a mystery to me. Nodbody is expecting them to run it for the same value as back in the days. But it was such a cool thing. SNE's where the rock&rolla's of the online poker scene. For people just getting into poker it was something to look up to. Great marketingtool imo.

If the player pools weren't segregated then there would already be a lot more games going IMO. Right now you need to wait for such a long time to even be able to play ONE Sunday Storm satellite. A lot of that has to do with the IMO stupid policies that governments have come up with to "regulate" this market. Plus the segregation is taking place within EU and multiple countries player pools that belong to EU (Single Economic Market) are being segregated and that goes against the principle of Single Economic Market. IMO if we want better games again then this is the first thing that has to be SOLVED. All that goodness that was possible before black friday was because the market wasn't over regulated and was free. Anyone agree?

I agree with you 100% that segregation is the problem preventing big guarantees for MTT's or an abundance of cash games.

But that segregation that I speak of isn't the same as yours. If Stars got rid of Casino, Spins, sports then you'd have huge guarantees. In essence Stars is the one trying to segregate their player pools by giving consumers more choice. Furthermore by having MTT's run every minute they are further spreading the players as opposed to concentrating on building massive marquee must play tourneys.

And to be honest I don't blame them one bit.

Can someone post how much percentage the players are paid in the final table? 1st is like 13.5 percent, 2nd is like how much and 3rd how much? So basically only tournaments that are $109 and higher and special series like wcoop, scoop and those special tournaments get the normal payout schedule? Can someone compared like the payouts in terms of percentage for a 11-22 dollar tournament compared to a 109?


Also for bounty tournaments, its basically $109 and up get the regular normal payout right? Did anyone here do like a chart how much percentage of the prize pool the final table gets paid in a bounty tournament? Like 1st gets 6.5% of the prize pool... etc. Also, on average, what does 1st, 2nd and 3rd place etc get in terms of the entire prize pool? Its always pretty much around 15%-20% or so?


Back then when you play tournament on stars, i recall old payout was like 15 percent for 1st right? So stars has zero plans to change the payouts? I mean 1st is basically almost double 2nd place. Also i know stars and 888 does this but partypoker doesn't but when it comes to bounty tournaments, do you think 1st and 2nd place should get same payout for the prize pool? Party does this but stars and 888 doesn't. I was confused why those sites does that.

I wont even bother to calculate anything,because it doesnt worth the efort.
For example,bounty builder 55(1 year and a half ago) 1st prize would get 7500-8000$,second 5200$ and third 4400$ including bounties.Now first get around 6500-7000$,second 3400$ and third around 2200$.All these with the same number of participants.Is it better this way?Actually it's not better for the players who plays these on regular basis,but it's definetely better for those who plays it from time to time.You can add this to the same type of tournament(bounty builders).It may be 14-15% for 1st,but for the rest is reduced significantly

To be fair look at bounty builder series,payouts for bounty builders are impacted also ,not the full bulshit but they pay 16.5 % of the players ,usually its about 13% .So soon they will apply them all over the place ....Quite sad story about the greatest site being ruined slowly,not a single event live i see have payouts pay more than 13-14% or aim wrong ?I can full max late reg in a lot of tourneys and get ITM ,not get big ROI but anyway even if u reg latest i have final tables and very deep runs out of this and you 80% of the time mincash 20% bust before the money,10-20% make deep run.Anyway people think the things can get better but every 3-4 months amaya implement some disaster change,now they add the flash spins with same rake,BB series with bad payouts ,will live too see whats next mby around jan-march .Nothing good come along even their challenges are disaster-wants me to play bingo format so i can get ticket for bingo shoutout and pay more rake than the value of the bingo shoutout.
