The only solution would be to post ahead of time what the payout structures would be all the way to the tourney capacity but you they'd have to do that with every MTT... and that would become an eyesore as well.

As for the payout structures... meh I don't like them either. But it's not a scam.

Re: PokerStars MTT Thread

I guess they've figured out that this new structure causes more of the prizepool to be recycled into rake somehow. I'd be really surprised if the guys setting the MTT schedule actually have much control over this.

Stars - You have to realise that if you keep on taking then you are going to kill off the game in the long run. I'd say this is the biggest F up since they scrapped SNE and changed the entire vip system.

Thats exactly the point. They do know how many people will register. The $22 tripple threat for example will never run with only ~250 players. It always has 1250-1450 players and even more on weekends.
Its not a scam, but its misleading how Stars did this and different changes in the past. They try to be sneaky instead of behing honest and transparent.

A few months ago for example there were tournaments where you have been able to win tournament tickets for WCOOP. But no where was written that the money for those tickets was taken away from the overall prizepool. & everyone thought it was added, since it has been always this way that tickets were added and it was never the case that money for tickets was taken away from the pool.

I could point out more examples where stars did their changes in such sneaky ways, most of the time even without saying a single word to their customers.

They announce positive changes, but not negative ones. For example they always announce when a Prizepool of a tournament gets boosted, but never when it gets decreased.

If it keeps going that road, stars will be ruined in a few years.
The payout structure change is another big milestone to get rid of their customers. No matter which regular you ask, everyone will tell you that they moved most of their action to other sites. & recreationals will follow.

They think recs didnt notice payouts bull**** but this isnt exactly like that.Friend of mine which is playing as a rec player few tourneys a week most of them during weekends said to me "what is this bullshet payouts ,its too small on top" for a so many runners ,so recs sees it .Rake increase + payouts make micro stakes so bad for everyone and recs see it also ,they dont protect recs by increasing rake on micros since on every FT on micros have atleast 50% rec or sometimes more when i was on them.On HS recs on FT are much less% close to none,so increase the rake for HS by 300% to help them a?

Same goes for chest ,none of recs are exited after they see what they get for their chest after first 2-3 they get ,im pretty sure they will like much more transparency of the vip system -for X points u get X coins .They dont play for rakeback ofc but theres no point of completing the chest bar when u know u will get 8-40 coins when with the old system u know for sure u will get 45-90 and will not hope to be not scammed

Hey, starting next Sunday you can buy to the Sunday Million for $109!

Well done Stars. You killed your flagship tournament.

Re: PokerStars MTT Thread

This one really stinks. I mean, I don't know how many years I ve been dreaming of winning or maybe fting that tournament. Literally every Sunday people start their play by wishing of winning this tournament. And now it's half the prizepool.

Its still 1m GTD. How they expect to hit that on a regular basis i have no idea.

oh ok. I get it. Change payouts payout more players, smaller payouts on average. everyone turns it in to rake.

215 to 109 means a nice little rake hike. Also there's no payout structure in place yet. Something tells me it's going to a doozy.

Re: PokerStars MTT Thread

Now the only thing left is to make it with the payouts in which 1st take twice 2nd and the money are out of FT + make its faster structure so edge on fun players to be smaller.

Even Luke gave up the act of trying to pretend like all these changes are positive now it appears. (To be fair he takes a lot of heat for just doing his job I'm sure the changes would be much different if he had the reigns of them).

200k+

I predict it to be in the 90k region for the winner. Well done stars.
