no they didn't , I had a 17k stack in big $22, emailed them 3 times and they don't think they need to so much as reply. These dumb ****s make ACR look good. Amaya is going to 0, the writing is on the wall

also all of us who where busted after the outage and before it was paused Amaya gaming kept the rake from those buy ins as no one was refund rake on busted buy ins. Someone needs to sue these clowns, a class action law suit might get their attention

They informed everyone via Twitter, the client, poker news media and automatic replies that they need 72 hours and will refund you. That seems fair, and you're being a pain in the *** by emailing them 3 times anyway. Give them those 72 hours and then you can complain.

In the Knockout tournaments, have they added the bounties of players to the prize pool for the split, or are they just keeping those for themselves?

I think no one of us can say that, i think its DDos and that can happen every day, i hope they will fix that problem soon, 4 days in a row for such a big company is a joke.

Even Party fixed that problem after 2 days

Pokernews never mentioned a DDOS attack for stars and they're majority owned by the Stars group so I don't think they were hit, unless for some specific reason they're being quiet about it?

Ive got new strategies ready to exploit the likelyhood of disconnect at similar time as the last 3 days

1. Late reg to every tourney approx 9.30 WET

2. Be very conservative with short stacks - survival when tourney gets paused is valuable

3. Move to Romania

what happend to the wcoop phase tournaments?
phase 2 of the 22$ one is cancelled (maybe it is not but that`s what the lobby says)
and the 215 $ phase disappeard from the client

I guess that's because they didn't want a skewed Phase 2 with Romanians and Belgians with a huge chiplead, as some phases 1 were affected by the connection issue as well. Will get up again shortly prob.

Well, this time its nothing to do with their servers. They actually confirmed today that they have been attacked by DDoS.

Of course everyone already knew this but nice to see them acknowledge it. As nice as it is to have been refunded properly from Sun. this also makes me question my recent problems with my account being hacked and their insistence that it was not a problem on their end when everything points to that conclusion.

So all the major poker sites are now under attack from the Russian mafia ? What does that tell you? They want money , if the pokersites do not pay the attacks will conti ue, theh can not protect themselves against these attacks. Either they have to pay or in the end have to close down the site worth billion of dollars.

There is no escape , if the mafia want to destroy online poker they can do it. Thi is just the start.

Also what do you think about something like a "1-3 Month Season" on Pokerstars like most eSports games have?

There are so many possibilitys to increase the fun to play poker for recreationals.


The following is just an idea how a "Season" on Pokerstars could look like.

- Bring back monthly leaderboards and make them become "Season Leaderboards"
- Exclude the Buy-In component from the amount of points someone earns in a tournament so players from different Buy-In levels have a realistic chance to win if they grind enough.
- Replace those random challenges with real challenges like "Win a tournanemt" and let players unlock different cosmetics (table backrounds, archivements which are shown at the table similar to the old silver/gold/supernova etc. ranks, etc.)for completing a challenge instead of a freeroll shootout ticket which is worth like 20-50 cents and no one cares about.
- Add a "earn double tournament points" for those tournaments with low traffic.
- Make all schedule changes on the first day of a new season instead of spreading them randomly.
- Add seasonal tournaments as a highlight for a season like "team tournaments" or whatever.
- Promote your seasons like "100 million guaranteed prices this season (all guaranteed prices of all tournaments in a season combined)" like all those eSports games do.
....

The possibilitys are endless and I am sure this would be way more effective down the road to get recreationals to play on ur site than what you are doing right now (getting rid of players who used to play almost every day on ur site).

Especially these days where young people are focused on eSports, PokerStars should make more steps to become more of an eSport than some kind of gambling site.

Make Poker & PokerStars more attractive to eSports Organisations and you will see another online Pokerboom.
