It is quite understandable that Stars does not want much in overlays; they are treating this line items as a cash cow and it is working. I do anticipate guarantees to get back to similar after the summer. I think just the weather is already a factor why many Europeans will play less in the summer. Personally I don't mind grinding a few tables while watching world cup, but then hey the Dutch did not qualify

stars realizes how awful their payout structures are in medium sized (200-1500 player) fields so shrinking big mtts is def in their best interest .

Just played a Deepstack Bubble Rush combi. This is an interesting structure, need more awareness. I was not aware this one even existed. Maybe put one in prime time and with a 11 or 7.5 it will warrant for a nice player pool with the re-entries. Right ?

Luke, please change the following things or at least do some test runs:


1 - Change all 5 Card Draw tournaments from 8 min blinds to 12 min blinds - the game is almost unplayable with 8 min blind increases.

2 - Switch all Full PSKO HU Zoom MTTs to 50 % PSKOs. I have seen people finishing 2nd in them without winning anything for playing hours of poker and surviving hundreds of players. The variance is insanely high and at the end people play a heads up where basically winner takes almost all. At least do a test run with 50 % PSKO instead of 100 % PSKO. Its a nightmare to finish 2nd in them as it is now.

3 - Add more rebuy Zoom MTTs like the 1 $ one, but maybe a 5 $ one.

Is it true that Stars have left South Africa?

Please do everyone a favor and give us your hit list of who you're going to be dumping next so that people don't move to certain countries to play.

number of players at peak time seems to drop quite a bit. right now 1pm ET, there are 77k players, as oppose to over 100k in the past. is this normal lately or something new? PS seems to be approaching its end much faster.

The players drop is normal after an event series has been finished. Most people timed their schedule on the scoop and take a break now.

As someone supposed before maybe shootout tourney can be turbo speed with ko element.

Luke can you plz increase the gtd seats of the pink daily sunday million 11$ Mega Sat (2 atm). It always reaches the required players immediately when the sat starts and had 8 seats today

and plz think about changing some of the monday 6max and wednesday battle royal sats, especially the deep ones. A lot of them dont start because of the required min entrants....why not make 2 pink Mega sats like during scoop...people seem to play them more than the deep ones

Luke, have been playing the Spain/Port/France pool for a couple days, but assume these guarantees are going to be adjusted upwards ? Have seen it hit 3x easily.

Luke please increase the starting stack from 3k to 5k or make it a Re-Entry. Its unaccaptable how it is right now. At the end of the latereg there are 97 people left and 83 people get paid (almost their buy-in). By increasing the starting stack you wont hurt the pricepool (it might even get more popularity) and you solve that problem.

What does re-entry have to do with it? It's effect is the same as a new player entering. I can already tell you 5K stack isn't gonna happen, that's only used for featured tourneys.

Well, the thing with the re-entrys should be right. But why do you think 5k starting stack wont be happening? We have 10k starting stack for some non featured tourneys.

There are only 3 solutions to solve the problem.
1. Slower structure.
2. Bigger starting stacks.
3. Shorter registration period (which is the worst solution imo since it smashes the pricepool of it)

I have a question about the Players Party Spin & Go tickets. I just found out that i have them but I can' t find the game in the Spin & Go tab or anywhere else. I have 47 of them so it would be a waste if they expire.

They expire mid June, so there must be some way to use them? Am I too late for the party? I brought booze...

What's the reason for constant decreasing GTD's in daily 6-max psko tournaments, namely 55 6-max psko @6:45pm CET (15min before Big 22 time) and 109 6-max psko @10:20pm CET (20min after Big 215 time)?

I've almost never seen them overlaying (only days like today with CL Final or some big sports event seem to be an exception), and yet you're repeatedly decreasing GTD.

For instance, late December 2017 55 6max psko was still a 15k gtd on most days and 12k on some. Smallest field I've seen according to Sharkscope (and I do play various weekdays with good volume) was 258, resulting with 12.9k prizepool (on a 10k gtd day). Most of the days it had 300-350 runners, resulting with nice 15-17k prizepool. But then in first months of 2018 you've made it 12/10k gtd on different days.

In March it was 12k gtd daily, smallest field I've seen - 235 (11.8k prizepool) on Friday which always has had smallest fields.

Still, even though it overlayed just once, before SCOOPs you've made it 10k and kept it like this entire April. I've grinded 5 days per week in April and smallest field I've experienced was 210 (10.5k), the only day when it dropped below 230 (11.5k) runners.

Before SCOOPs there were no overlays, during SCOOPs it obviously had good results, but now all of sudden you've made it 8k gtd, resulting in 200-215 players fields (10-11k) daily. Given the tendency I expect it to drop to 8.5k-9k soon, at which point you'll propably decide to get it down to 7k and finally remove it in few months.


You've basically killed a very good tournament with your decisions - a tournament that always seemed to attract recreational players, who enjoyed action-packed 6max PSKO format. The same happens with late $109 6m psko, even though it repeatedly beats the gtd prizepool you still keep decreasing it. What's the reason, why killing your own tournament? I could understand if you just removed it a year ago to transfer fields to some of the tournaments starting in timeslots nearby (B22/bb109/B109), but this slow assassination doesn't seem very logical to me.
