Hey everyone,
Hope you're all enjoying SCOOP! We're in the final stretch now, but I have a couple immediate changes to catch you up on:
- The Sunday Million/Mini-Million and Sunday Storm will be trading start times beginning next week. Satellites will be adjusted to reflect this change, and some minor tweaks have been made to the Sunday Storm structure to ensure it does not run too long.
- From Monday, the minimum entrants required in some tournaments will be reduced to four. This will not include changes to big bet games.
- Guarantees will be reduced from Monday. I am sure this is expected with World Cup approaching, but I do not want anyone here to be surprised!

But I agree a banner or pop-up 8-12 hours prior would be great. Maybe they don't want to discourage players who login a few hours before the restart.
The bolded is an important factor. For those players who are interested in receiving more advanced notice, see the post just below this one!

No more 9-11 hour long day 1s, thank you for listening to us from last year Luke.
This was a gradual change and one we'll continue to implement. Please continue to provide feedback.

Not all deals are that straight forward.
There's no plans to implement custom deals into the tool going forward. We chose equal split and ICM because they represented an overwhelming majority of deals in PokerStars tournaments, and can be clearly presented on mobile devices.

Instead, you get like 8 satellites the day the tournament runs. I'm sure there are many people who would like to play events and would be willing to play more satties, but aren't home that early that day or play them and don't satty in and don't get more opportunities.
When Stars killed their satellites, they killed the tournament series aswell.
The satellite schedule is driven by the players, not our stupidity. The overwhelming majority of satellite play occurs on the day of the Event. When it comes to a complex mix of tournaments such as SCOOP, it isn't feasible to have satellites for a week leading up to each Event. This would cause an extraordinary amount of clutter and might simply be a detriment to the player experience.
We're more than willing to try new things, but the results day in and day out dictate that what we're doing is suiting most players' needs.

To make a comparison:
2010 SCOOP
Total Gtd - $36M
No. of tourneys - 114
Avg Gtd - $315,789.47
2018 SCOOP
Total Gtd - $65M
No. of tourneys - 183
Avg Gtd - $355,191.26
Not only is the average guarantee much higher, but the average clearance is much smaller! We have not been risk averse in SCOOP, and there's no clearer evidence of that than the fact that today, a Friday, we're running a $1,000,000 gtd tournament...

I busted shortly before day 1 concluded and went to bed and now at work without much problem. Regular sunday tournaments are still mostly way too long, payout structures suck so it's nice to have a positive experience for a change.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm hoping we can take a look at main schedule tournament length over the summer and make some necessary adjustments.

It's on a short notice, but those might work better if moved an hour, maybe even an hour and 15min earlier
Participation doesn't seem to be an issue and people who play them might actually get into the target
Thanks for this post. We were not aware of the issue until you brought it to our attention. We've since fixed it.

The regular tournament schedule is affected for twelve or more hours before the planned time of restart. Scheduled tournaments are planned to restart at about 08:30 ET.
Sit & Go regeneration for individual tournament types is turned off between 02:00 ET and 06:30 ET depending on the average completion time of each. Sit & Go Tournaments are planned to restart about fifteen to thirty minutes after the server restart completes.
not too helpful to receive the e-mail 2 hours prior but since people complained here last time I figured I'd post it anyway.
This server restart was planned on short notice and that is clearly reflected in how it was communicated. Apologies!

The date was fixed around 15 minutes after it was put up, but if you never left the tab, you'd see the same date.

The PLO Events were pretty big!

The main events deserve a lot more satellites to make them bigger & give them the special treatment that they deserve. 6 satellites to the $10k main is a joke, adding more satellites would be best for all the parties involved imo.
We've been adding them incrementally based on past participation. Although I'm sure you've noticed, we also added a $1.10 Phase to the Low with 100 seats gtd, an $11 Phase to the Medium with 50 seats gtd, and a $109 Phase to the High with 15 seats gtd in order to make the Events a bit more accessible. We'll continue to pump out satellites over the next couple days.

Your criticism here is valid. We added more satellites beginning on Friday, but we should have had at least a handful each day of the week. This was an oversight.

And this 6max shootout tourney was a lot of fun and in my mind if I manage to win 4/5/6 SNG on after another, I can win a lot. I think that previous years I wrote that this tourney can be at least weekly in the normal schedule.
Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback, perhaps something we can try in busier periods like December or January.

I am sure you understand why we do not have a lot of Events at off-peak times, but we do try to accommodate players with a couple of Events if we can.

This SCOOP-1 is generating plenty of excitement among fellow players so I can not imagine that multiple phases to play for a weekly big prize on Sunday is not appealing. I don't remember the prior numbers, but it would warrant a nice first place guarantee as a sweetener. I personally would use open holes in my schedule to play some phases and sometimes rail others later the week. Comments ?
We've been giving it some thought. I don't think it would be ideal to add something in the summer, but perhaps in the fall...

Yep, as soon as we saw that the Low and Medium would cap well ahead of their start times, we thought the players would enjoy a quick $55 version.

If we did that, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday would all have knockout 'Main Events'. Do you think we should go in that direction?

I actually reacted fast enough to directly open the lobby but latereg was over so the message was too late, but I liked the concept of the message to me (maybe not everyone). The next (turbo) sat also had overlay a little later and I would have signed up if not other commitments.
These messages are created by us and used sparingly. We try to only use them when we are 100% sure we'll miss the guarantee. I don't foresee us creating these messages during a typical week. SCOOP is the exception, not the rule.

I apologize for the poor experience, but it happens from time to time, whether it is because of subpar scheduling, players stalling, or some other factor. When it happens, you're still awarded your prize in T$.
