The awful payout structures finally starting to have an effect, a rec sees 1st prize in say, the b11 drop from mid 7k to 5k overnight it becomes much less appealing. Keep up the good work though Luke, maybe take another well deserved vacation !!

For sure some players that play HS are in/or going to Rozvadov for WSOP Europe.
Not sure if there were overlays in HS MTTs during that time last years.

this so not true, is more that regs are playing party + other sides and skiping higher buyins/high variance/ flat payouts MTTs on stars and recs are folowing them
obv no 1 want to play mtt on poker site where first place/FT payouts compared with competition sites are lower but w/e

stars MTT ship will sink very very fast after party will update their software

I was playing an admittedly much lower stakes MTT than my normal games on Saturday night. I built a big stack with ~200 people left before the bubble but I was tired and had plans the next day. With the new payout structure being such a joke, I literally looked at the top few payouts, saw that even winning the thing would be meh, and just went to bed. Hard to express how inconceivable just giving up on an MTT (even low stakes) is to someone as competitive as me, but congrats Stars, you got me to do it.

Recs/regs want to play for big prizes up top. It is what's appealing about mtts. Now there is the beginnings of genuine choice shall I play big 109 or uppercut on party. The uppercut is a complete no brainer for most.

Adding a 530bountybuilder (and a daily 500, altough less) takes away traffic from the thrill, supertuesday,etc aswell.
