This is my first time posting on 2+2, I am a regular low and medium level tournament player on Stars.
I have come up with a completely new and genuinely revolutionary format for MTT's which if implemented would change poker forever. While it could be implemented in B+M cardrooms it would be far easier to do online. Not sure as to whether I can register the intellectual property for it and I am actually a little surprised that it hasn't been developed already seeing as it would be popular with players and because of the structure would definitely be of interest to operators.
The new structure would completely differentiate online poker from live events.
MTT's would likely attract many more purely cash game players.
The structure eliminates the bubble.
First prize would be much bigger
Players who min cash could cash for significantly more than they currently do
I don't want to lay the details out here because I am interested in monetizing the idea

I don't know if you are aware of this Luke but after Stars is over you'll be remembered as the guy who basically killed mtts. We know you have an agenda to follow but you'll be seen as a solid contributor to the misery. Doesn't it bother you? As a principle there's nothing wrong with that, but they're killing the site and poker part of it at the same time and nobody seems to realise it. I guess they're profiting enough from bets/casino to ignore this fact. Or they're just simply stupid. Or both.

We've had a lot of ideas recently introduced that were popular with the players. The traffic has never been lower.

I have a variety of updates to bring you, so without further ado:

MicroMillions

As mentioned before, it will run July 17-31 and will contain 90 events. The schedule is finalized and being scripted as we speak. It will appear in the client on July 14th.

New features

We now have the ability to change the length of blind levels dynamically. Any of the following can trigger a level length change once late registration has closed: number of players, percentage of the field, and the bubble. This can be done in any number of logical combinations. The simplest use cases are likely to be increasing level lengths once the final table is reached and a hyper tournament that slows down once the bubble has ended. I'll be intermittently testing this over the next couple weeks and welcome suggestions regarding how to use this. Yesterday, many Hots used the functionality, and the Monday 6-Max majors will use it as well.

Also, the filter logic categorizing any tournament as a satellite if they award both cash prizes and tickets has been updated. When Bounty Builders was launched, all of the tournaments were hybridized to award $109 tickets. This caused tournaments to appear as satellites even though 5% or less of the prize pool awarded tickets. If these tournaments were in the client now, they would not be shown as satellites. There are no firm plans to use this at the moment, but I have a few ideas for the fall.

Pay Table

The updated version of the 9-max pay table is now in all of the Bigs. This version returned some money to the top spot and ensures a 1.75x or greater min-cash. It will likely be expanded in the future.

Lobby space

If you've been in the client lately, you've noticed the changes to Omania and $10K Payday advertised via a lobby flyer. It is an initiative of mine to use this space more frequently in order to shine a light on new tournaments, changes to the schedule, and to highlight existing tournaments that could use a nudge. Next week's flyer will be to advertise the Sunday Million. I welcome any suggestions on how to use this space in the future.

Sunday Storm & Million

On July 10th, the Storm will allow a single re-entry and the Million will allow three. As discussed, we do not intend these to be permanent changes and are only measures to maintain guarantees on what will be uncharacteristically slow days due to the Euros Final. Additionally, Sunday Million Spin & Gos have been turned on until next Sunday.

this is just so irritating how you handle microplayers. scoop, wcoop tcoop can have a tentative secundele posted in the forum months and months before it starts, but we only see what is the offering before 3days of the start. wp, gg, thank you.

i dont say we need a discussion thread, i get it this is not the best idea considering there are a lof of microplayers and a thread like this would be a mess. but even you said promotion series, evets need a proper promotion months before. well, 3 days is just sucks. just dont be too suprised if the series will be not so popular

Make Bigs and Bounty Builders play a little deeper (hopefully by overall increasing stack depth and not simply by using this, but even this can work). They are not deep enough, there has been proof posted in this thread by me and others. Should be a bit deeper on weekdays and even deeper on Sundays.
