Re: 2016 PokerStars MTT Discussion Thread (Last Update: 2016/01/11)

Hi all,

A software bug has been identified, preventing credits for repeat satellite winners in some instances. It is very likely that this problem began following the recent server restart on Thursday, 14 January.

It is not happening for all repeat satellite wins and the evidence at present suggests that it is affecting a relatively small proportion of satellite players. Our developers are working to determine the exact cause. Once that is complete, we will run a query to determine which players have been affected, for how much money, and will then credit all affected players. In the meantime, we have disabled SNG satellites, but we will restore them as soon as possible.

On behalf of PokerStars, I apologize for the inconvenience this is causing, and I thank you for your patience while we find and fix the problem.

Thanks,

Luke

re: the Daily 27s

afaik the 3.3$ turbo deep satties do well

why dont you add a 4.4$ turbo deep 15 mins later and a 5.5$ turbo deep another 15 mins later (all with 3 seats grtd) ?
would be a start to help them grow

if you dont let the dailys red they ll die for sure

also the structures could be better for sure, for example NLSD 2-7 and PL5CD should be:
20/40/10
25/50/12
30/60/15
40/80/20
50/100/25
60/120/30
80/160/40
100/200/50
120/240/60
140/280/70
170/340/85
200/400/100
and then go on with your standard structure, could even be only 10mins level to start with

could you also add a 5$ PLBadugi hyper in the euro evening like the one at 7:20 cet ?

Why do you think adding 2 more turbo deep sats is a good idea? They take 1h30 mins to finish and have 1 hr late reg. Don't think its a good idea to add any more deep turbo sats.

Luke asked for suggestions to make the fields of the dailys bigger, so i think adding more sats with a successful structure would be a good start

well, i could just point out that going from BB80 to BB120 and from 200BB to 300BB is a pretty horrible structure, but then there would be other bad blind jumps if they only correct those

You've suggested to add 2 more deep turbo sats within a span of 30mins. That means there will be 3 deep turbo sats all with late reg open running at the same time. They dont even add these many sats for coop non nlhe events, how can you expect them to add these many sats for daily 27s

I def agree those games sooo need little tweak in their structures, we have suggested them to make changes many times last year, but no changes were ever made. Even suggestions like extending late reg from 60 mins to 90 mins or tweaking the structure so more re-entries can be made, gets ignored no response.

Is there no more Triple Stud tourney? There used to be a small one iirc but I can't find one now. Also there doesn't seem to be a Triple Stud or Triple Draw tourney at the upcoming Tcoop, so those dying or dead formats for tournaments even though they are still listed in the filter?

Hi all,

The issue has been fixed and SNG satellites are now back in the lobby. Credits will be made as soon as a full list of affected players has been compiled. We anticipate credits will be made in the next 48 hours. There is no need to provide us with information; however, it is recommended that you verify your credits once they are received.

Edit: credits were sent out on 16 January @ 3PM ET.

Thanks,

Luke

Hello Luke

I was wandering why is there no software that replays PSKO tournaments with bounties shown, as you can not properly analyze them without the bounty equity, and it turns out there isn't any software like that because the bounties aren't visible in the HH's

so basically the HH looks standard like this

PokerStars Hand #147082277903: Tournament #1437003337, $20+$20+$4 USD Hold'em No Limit - Level III (20/40) - 2016/01/15 17:36:50 CET [2016/01/15 11:36:50 ET]
Table '1437003337 52' 9-max Seat #3 is the button
Seat 1: 1outerHero (3251 in chips)
Seat 2: De Dominis (3100 in chips)
Seat 3: Bebaimis11 (2885 in chips)
Seat 4: morrri (553 in chips)
Seat 5: Pilich1234 (4828 in chips)
Seat 6: gaacha (2726 in chips)
Seat 7: elPolacco86 (3742 in chips)
Seat 8: darkspace0 (2994 in chips)
Seat 9: RatbLino192 (3268 in chips)
1outerHero: posts the ante 6
De Dominis: posts the ante 6
Bebaimis11: posts the ante 6
morrri: posts the ante 6
Pilich1234: posts the ante 6
gaacha: posts the ante 6
elPolacco86: posts the ante 6
darkspace0: posts the ante 6
RatbLino192: posts the ante 6
morrri: posts small blind 20
Pilich1234: posts big blind 40
.....

where instead you can make them look like this:

PokerStars Hand #147082277903: Tournament #1437003337, $20+$20+$4 USD Hold'em No Limit - Level III (20/40) - 2016/01/15 17:36:50 CET [2016/01/15 11:36:50 ET]
Table '1437003337 52' 9-max Seat #3 is the button
Seat 1: 1outerHero (20$) (3251 in chips)
Seat 2: De Dominis (20$) (3100 in chips)
Seat 3: Bebaimis11 (20$) (2885 in chips)
Seat 4: morrri (20$) (553 in chips)
Seat 5: Pilich1234 (20$) (4828 in chips)
Seat 6: gaacha (20$) (2726 in chips)
Seat 7: elPolacco86 (20$) (3742 in chips)
Seat 8: darkspace0 (20$) (2994 in chips)
Seat 9: RatbLino192 (20$) (3268 in chips)
.....

so that the software can be programmed to look at the bounties too

I think it wouldn't be hard to do that, but it would be beneficiary for anyone that analyses hand histories/gets coached for PSKO's, especially now that the PSKO's are dominating the schedule, and with the introduction of new formats like PUKO nad PTKO...

Thanks

Re: 2016 PokerStars MTT Discussion Thread (Last Update: 2016/01/11)

stars sent following email to some people they suspected could be using 3rd party software. going to be some pretty hilarious submissions i guess

"However, we require a video recording of you playing. This recording has a few mandatory requirements:

- At the beginning of the recording, we must be able to clearly see your face in order to confirm your identity
- Before starting to play, you must rotate your camera 360 degrees to show us all of your surroundings
- You must start your playing session from an empty computer desktop, whereby you initiate the PokerStars client and log into your account
- After logging in, you must play a regular session of yours
- Your playing session at the tables must be for a minimum of 70 active minutes
- During your play at the tables, the recording must be of sufficient quality to see and track the activities that are taking place on your desktop. In addition, the recording must capture your surrounding environment including your monitor, keyboard, mouse and the movement of your hands
- Audio must be included in the recording
- You must minimise the amount of individual video files. Longer, continual recordings are preferred
- You have 10 days to complete this task

It is important that your playing session is conducted in the same manner as one of your typical sessions as your tendencies will be contrasted with your regular play.

You must supply the resulting recording to us via email. In the likely event the files exceed attachment limits, please utilise file sharing services such as Dropbox, Google Drive or whichever service you prefer. We'll largely leave this option up to you.

Failure to follow these instructions or if the video is of sub-par quality, will result in this task needing to be repeated."

what is the point of this? anyone using it can just turn it off, not like stars can ban/take action against someone because he takes longer to act in the recording than normally or because he makes different decisions, lol

are you sure it's legit?

In the good old days they used to actually send someone to the player's house to watch them grind 68 tables for 23 hours a day. This new approach is clearly a cost cutting measure. Thanks Amaya

it's been suggested so long time ago that it's really disgraceful that they still haven't done it. I know I know, everything that require resources takes on average 2 years to implement.

If there is no epts/pca it seems the tourneys keeps decent player base. If its semi turbo i guess a lot of mid stakes guys that take shots wont even consider to play it .

Lag seems much improved today.

You seemed open to the idea of a $27-$55 Pacific Rim Daily, is that still the case?

this sounds unusual, the lag has gotten much better, today I don't think I noticed anything and there are no other reports on 2+2 based on threads I'm subbed to
