Unfortunatly I think they can and will do whatever they want at least in the micro-/smallstakes. Just on Sunday I realized again how much broader the playerbase at Stars in the micros/smalls still is. At 2pm CET the Mini Sunday Starter had no problem filling its 25k gtd when on 888 at the same time the 8.8 2k barely made its guarantee. And its not that 888 just started yesterday. It just seem to go nowhere. It gets a bit better at the buyins 20+ but all sites lack the playerbase to fill micros with good gtds easily. You would think that these horrible changes over the last years would have an effect on the spending behaviour of recreational payers but it seems the demand for micros and smallstakes is rather inelastic.

Hardly true. There were over 5700 first entries which is more than on an average Sunday. 3rd and 4th entries were much less than 900 in total.

What is up with the emails you receive when u cash in a MTT?

Normally, you would receive something like this:

"You finished the tournament in 53rd place. A USD 6.60 award has been credited to your Stars Account.
You have also received USD 2.55 in Knockout Bounties for this tournament. You won bounties for the following players: 'Yo Mama'

Yesterday, I got this email:

" You finished the tournament in 29th place. Congratulations!
A $0.00 USD award was credited to your Stars Account upon reaching the money, and the remaining $29.83 USD award was credited when you finished the tourney."

Also, this was a bounty tournament and they aren't even mentioning the bounty money?

If u gonna change the standard email please make it better, not worse.

Very happy that I cashed out all my funds a few months ago. Have no regrets especially after seeing recent changes. For instance, hot 5.5 today had 2610 entries and paid 1635 to first, 816 to 2nd and 70 to 9th. On the other hand, $5.5 10k big fish of 888 had 2084 entries and paid 1759 to first, 1252 to second and 112 to 9th.

Playing the bigger 5 on a sunday (17.00 ET) #2359159675. It has 2611 entries and 563 re-entries for a total of 3.174 entries. Over 1130 of them are from Brazil. That is 35.7% !!

Not sure what you are expecting at that time? The field was probably 35% Canadian too. You'd expect that as they're the two biggest countries that can play west of the Atlantic ocean.

Yeah sure,

There were 402 Canadians in it for 12.7% of the field.

In case people start mentioning population numbers:

There were 30 players from Mexico which has a population of 120M compared to 36 million from Canada and 205M in Brazil. And Mexico has a higher GDP per capita then Brazil.

Now you do the math..

Or maybe 35.7% of the players from a single country is just a bizar number.

This is just minor and silly, why change the late reg on the Big tournaments from 2 hours to 1:55 - I tried to enter in the break and it took me 10 minutes to figure it out because ofc it was nowhere to be found

because they pay an absurd % of the field and when you late reg 2 hours in you can literally stall into the money

lol @ the new payouts for the Bigs and Hots, those won't be played but never really did anyway. If you change the structure of vanilla tourneys I actually do play I will permanently withdrawal my roll. Try me.

I'm banned from Stars so haven't played for a couple of years but just went on tonight and had a look at some of the tourneys to rail as I was bored. What struck me was how many were PKOs and then I saw a HU zoom turbo PKO where 0% gets added to the prize pool lol wtf? 2nd place got less than 4% of the prize pool and 40% of the players got paid. Great job Stars, you really have killed it nicely.

Whoever runs the mtts (is it still Luke?) should be ****ing ashamed especially if they were a grinder before being in that role. I know what I'm about to say is nothing new but Stars always had the best tourneys, guarantees, blind structures and it's really sad to see it how it is now. I'm quite glad I was forced to move elsewhere, there are some decent sites out there for tourneys where at least the employees won't lie to you in the feedback thread by telling you it's what the players want or it's good for the ecosystem or whatever. Embarrassing.

I am not saying you have it wrong, but coming from someone banned from Stars is not quite adding credibility.

I was banned when i was young and stupid but after long time and a lot of responces i was unbanned .Everybody makes mistakes ,anyway stars group make too much of them on purpose...Im watching these low guaranties ,bad pay structures ,big rake and wonder why not playing ot their competitor site where rake is 5% sometimes have overlay and the fishesh are even bigger in micros.

Played on Stars aged 16 which was 10 years ago, they banned me at the time and I made another account in my own name, same address etc and played on that for 3-4 years before they worked out they'd already banned me lol. For some reason it was only when they did the FTP merger that it flagged up.

Anyway, I've had countless emails with them over the years before I made the 2nd account and they refused to let me play on their site despite me apologising profusely, offering to pay some sort of reopening fee on my account, basically I made a mistake and they seemed to never want my business again which was weird given how many players have been let back on after playing underage/cheating etc., but their decision.

Not sure how that affects my comments on their MTTs though.
