I don't think it's good either. I only load a couple of 180's at the start of a session, then it's 45's and 90's. I don't want to be stuck playing a 180 halfway through a session. They should have capped it at 90.

I am not 100% certain but I think the on demands on FTP were zoom. I think that would be the right way here. Right now these games are filled with regs. The few recs who join these games from the start have no fun tables and probably lose their money far too quickly in the long run. But maybe stars thinks its a good way to generate more rake because all the micro grinders are eager to play lots of games on one site with decent software no matter how bad the games are. I dont think this format will be a thing for very long.

90 man with 15minutes levels is about 175-230minutes and 180man takes 235-275 minutes. Not that much of a difference imho, also those ODs never get 180 at all.. (games w/ under 100 players are still late reg)

They had a huge albeit thus far unsuccessful campaign in California last year. They had many efforts in Australia. I don't have firsthand knowledge about what they've done in Europe but I do know there is soon to be a new Portugal-Spain-Italy-France shared liquidity market. Keep in mind all these limitations are not of Amaya's doing, it's 100% from governments. All poker site operators can do is lobby for change.

They have their market in Spain, Italy, France etc but can't bring them back to play with all. If they put all their effort which they spend for rake increase, changing structures and payouts and other stuff then we could have our friends from those countries here again. We have 120000-130000 players at peak time now. Yeah, pokerstars is the biggest poker room etc etc, but I'm talking about that we have less and less people year by year and I don't know what are they doing for getting them back. I love the $4.50 reg speeds on-demand change! And like some others mentioned. I would love some higher buy-ins for it. $8, $15 and $27 reg speeds as suggested before would be great. Especially for people like me and a lot of others who don't have the time to grind mtt's in the evening. This is a great alternative.

Changing structures and payouts? That's Luke and his team, nothing to do with political lobbying. Rake increases? That's probably the purview of business analysts. You're living in a fantasyland if you think Pokerstars isn't doing everything they can do to improve worldwide liquidity and participation.

I think with the introduction of casino games but also all the Spin variants of poker Pokerstars harmed every attempt to get poker legalized. It was always about Poker being a skillgame and not gambling. Now that Stars has connected both its easy for every politician to argue against legalizing.

Every time I log onto PS I lose all my settings...ie bet sliding, preferred seat, etc....client just thinks its my first time playing every time I log in.
