So I registered for PokerShares when I heard about some twitch streamers being on it. I love watching spraggy, fintan, Kmart and lex so the chance to sweat them sounded great.

A couple of days later, I hit some big wins with lex winning one and then today, girafganger wins the turbo series 215. All in only I booked over 2k in winnings on my original $75!!!!! Holy crap right??????

That's when the story sours and then warning bells starting going off. I signed up with an affiliate first deposit bonus to double deposit, pretty standard. Turns out it locks in both the bonus and deposit, only releasing on a 1 to 3 rate. Further to this, it only releases on winning bets.

For example, I have $150 in my 'bonus' account (not even allowed to take out my deposit). I bet and win 300. All of that 300 goes to the bonus account and you can't withdraw, it then relates 50 of your money or 1/3 of your winning bet.

So here I am over 2k in winnings, to get any out. I would have to wager it all, win those bets and I could have a third of it. As long as you win your bonus account contiues to climb and you can't touch that money.

Tried talking to support and they said you agreed to it so nothing they will do. Fair point, I didn't understand the terms and won't make that mistake again but it sure seems like a scam. I have learned my lesson.

TLDR - don't take bonus on pokershares. You would have to win 3 bets for full deposit amount just to be able to withdraw your own deposit. Not just bonus, but your rightful money.

Does anyone know any possible solution that could help?

sounds pretty ****ed. i guess cash out 1/3rd of the winnings and then keep buying pieces of giraf with the rest? id prefer to give him all my money instead of cashing any of it out tbh but seems scummy nonetheless

Even the Mark Ups on PokerShares are a massive joke. I am not surprised they have such a backdoor for themselfes. Youre better off buying here on 2+2.

Having a rollover requirement is super duper standard for betting sites. Making that requirement only count on winning bets, now that's pretty questionable and sounds predatory to me.

It's unfortunate that you are inexperienced with betting and weren't aware of this before, but I doubt there is anything you can do.
