Hello there, my HuD doesn't save hands, so I apologize in advance for the HH. I posted this hand to a friend and said "sometimes, it's so hard to not be results oriented. I make a discplined fold and PS immediately punishes me". He then replied that this was a clear call to him and we discussed a little back and forth. So we would like to hear an opinion from other players on the matter:
Blinds 50/100, Ante 12
UTG (3757)
UTG +2 (3302)
Hero. MP+1 (5827) with J J
CO (2546)
SB (1416)
Preflop:
UTG raises to 226, fold, UTG+2 calls, fold, Hero calls,
CO raises to 2546 and is all.in,
fold
SB calls 1416 and is all-in
fold
UTG raises to 3757 and is all-in
UTG +2 calls and is all-in
Pot 8429, Hero folds.
At that time non of the players seemed to be out of line, except for the SB which I tagged as a too loose passive type of player.
I didn't run equities during the hand, but I believed that with this preflop action, I could be reasonably sure that at least one of the hands involved was QQ+ or two players had AK,AQ type hands. This led me to believe, that I was flipping at best against either CO or UTG and trying to hold up against whatever hands the other players would show up with.
I ran the following sim afterwards just to get an idea. I don't know enough about CO/UTG, so I gave them wider ranges, then I actually believe they have.
So at first, I was sure, I made the right decision. Now however, I do have a closer look. The stacksizes vary considerably and I cover everybody. So even, if CO is widely ahead against me, I still have considerable sidepots with UTG and UTG +2. Considering bounties and that we are fairly early, is this a call?
