Hello everyone,

Happy New Year and I hope that you all had a great holiday period with big scores and no bad beats.

Did anyone get anything good this year?

First of all, we posted in the correct forum and then 2+2 admin apparently had too much eggnog and things got confused! Everything looks about right now though

I do have to apologise for disappearing unannounced. I took two weeks much needed holiday over Christmas to visit friends and family in the UK. Of course I should have let you guys know this but in the excitement of seeing people for the first time in months there were one or two little things I didn't get round to doing.

In the future I will make sure to leave a notice here.

If you follow the instructions on the website, registration should be pretty simple.

First go to this page and fill out the form.

Once you have completed the second step which includes your bank account information (required for cash outs), your account will be enabled for real money play. You can then deposit and play immediately if you wish.

In order to then validate your account you must send us a copy of a ID document and a proof of bank account ownership document.

We can accept a national ID card, passport or EU driving licence.

Your bank document must show your name and the IBAN of your bank account.

Once we have these copies you will be sent a letter to your postal address which contains a validation code. After entry of this code your account will be fully finalised and you will be able to cash out at any time.

  • If you’re using Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\My Documents\Winamax Poker\accounts\[Your Winamax nickname]\history
  • If you’re using Windows Vista or Windows 7: C:\Users\[User Name]\My Documents\Winamax Poker\Accounts\[Your Winamax nickname]\history
  • If you’re using Mac OS: \Users\[User Name]\Documents\Winamax Poker\accounts\[Your Winamax nickname]\history
  • If you’re using Linux/Unix, go to your distribution’s equivalent of the “My Documents” folder, then \Winamax Poker\accounts\[Your Winamax nickname]\history

Hope you get this sorted out

Scheduling the 4max on a Sunday seems like a terrible decision. Everyone is going to be up to their eyes in tables. Surely making it any other day of the week wouldve been more sensible?

Hello bobafett411,

This suggestion has been made for a previous series and was forwarded to our tournament planning team.

The decision was made to leave the tournament as is and has since been successful and run without problems.

We will of course make any necessary changes to to schedule should we see any problems when we perform a more in depth review of the series.

All the same, thank you very much for your comment. We appreciate all feedback from the community!

Dave, for the next series pls consider putting some of the events ~14:00-17:00 CET.

For someone like me that works fulltime there is just no event during weekdays I can play (only looked at todays schedule but I'm pretty sure the events start after 19:00 everyday).
I, and probably most of people with a job, want to finish my sessions before 02:00 so I'm not dead as fk when I have to get up ~07:00.

Hi there,

I totally understand your problem here. We do our best to organise our tournaments in a way that will allow the most people to play without issue.

Your suggestion has therefore been forwarded to our tournament planning team who will give it serious consideration.

Thank you very much for your feedback

INTERNET POKER Winamax thread is locked for some reason so I'm posting here...

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can you increase the time allowed when sitting out on ring games! How long is the time currently set at? I run downstairs for a cigarette and if I need the toilet or a hot drink I come back to find myself kicked off of tables everytime!

I understand you don't want players sitting out for too long when at the tables but can it be increased by a few minutes atleast? Players getting kicked from tables is far more likely to break games compared to allowing players a few more minutes of sit out time.

Hi MEATBALLS ALLIN,

Our software should allow you to sit out for a maximum of 10 minutes before being evicted from your seat.

It's totally understandable to want to take a break in your sessions however, as far as I am aware this is pretty much in line with other poker sites and I think that it is fair all things considered.

If you are losing your seat faster than this please let me know and I will look into it.

Hi guys,

I just switched over to Winamax, great site!

Grinding DoN's there, great volume as well with The Grinder Challenge..

What's really bothering me is the Sit & Go Challenge. It is completely dominated by HU players. Not only can HU players play WAY more volume (need less players, quicker games) than any other type of SNG (and thus gain alot more points), they also get 0,91 for a win against my 0,88 for a DoN.. Which makes it impossible to ever go for 1st place or even top 3 as a DoN player. You can check every single week (I have) and they're all dominated by HU players, every single top 5 for the last 3 months are HU players.

Seeing as the rewards are so big compared to the Grinder Challenge, I'd love to at least have somewhat of a chance there.

Is there anything you guys can do?

Kind regards,

NoFoldPlease

Hello Winamax team,

Just a little input about the series - I don't like that many of the €10 and €20 at this series are 12 minutes levels. They used to be 15 previous series.

It kind of makes them the same as your normal weekly tournaments(FIEVRE, XTRA, AFTER WORK) with bigger(Sunday-like) prize pools where as before they used to be something I really waited for.

I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy with one of our services.

While I can sympathise and it is true that heads-up grinders seem to do very well in the high stakes category, this is due to the fact that at higher stakes we simply have more heads-up S&Gs running.

After checking our recent statistics it is clear that at the lower limits things swing in the opposite direction with full-ring S&G players taking 2 of the 3 top spots in the low limits and DON players the same for micros.

As I'm sure you can imagine it is extremely difficult to formulate a challenge where certain types of players are not at a slight advantage at the different limits, especially in a contest that includes such a large variety of games.

The promotions team is aware of your comments concerning the prizes on offer and I'm sure they will take this into consideration when they next review our challenges.

I hope this is clear, if not, please let me know

Sorry to hear that you aren't 100% happy with the Series.

Of course when you organise a tournament series like this you want to make the events something to look forward to and a truly enjoyable experience. At the same time you also want to ensure that players will not be put off from entering tournaments because of the extremely long playing time.

That being said, after looking through the schedule once more I don't believe that there has massive shift from 15 to 12 minute levels. We have always tried to offer a wide variety of games in our series' including different variants, levels speeds and starting stacks.

I hope that you are enjoying the Series despite this and I will forward your comments to our tournament planners.

Hi,

Thanks for you response, I expected it . I understand changing the formula to something more fair would be somewhat difficult.

What would make sense to me, is to split up The S&G Challenge the same way the Grinder Challenge is split up. So 2-4 players and 5+ players. That would make it a lot more fair, and I see no disadvantages there. Maybe reduce the 4 categories to 2 (up to 15€ and above 15?) so you still have a large prizepot. Or even keep it at 4 or 3. Still a lot more happier players, and a lot more even chances for everyone!

Hope to hear from you,

Kind regards,

Making such a thread there is very bad for us french players, but I know you don't give a **** as your shareholders are not that french...
About the planning: like PS often does, the earliest events begin at 20h, which is again very bad if you want recreationnal players to come and play. The only events that begin before 20h are planned on the week ends, when almost nobody works the following day. Could not be worst.

i agree that the lower buyin events (especially some of them) should have 15 minutes blinds and not 12 minutes.

the best way to ensure that people wont play too many hours until they reach the money is to have blinds that start at 10 minutes and increase at 12/15 minutes after some number of levels (like they have on Full Tilt)

Hello Dave.
I see no option to have a 24 hours display on the software?

About the freerolls, why they open 1 hour prior to start and there is no hint about their starting day and time under my account on the tickets section like the others?

As I have previously said, I have forwarded the comments about the start times of tournaments to our planning team for consideration in future events.

Having said that, I really have to disagree with your comment about how this affects French players.

We appreciate that there may be some French players who are not happy about additional competition, however it is the bringing in of players from the rest of Europe that allows us to increase the prizes available to our players.

Without increasing our player pool we would be forced to offer less tournaments and lower guarantees. I think we can all agree that no one wants that!

I'm afraid it is not possible to change the time display in our software.

The WSeries Freerolls are only open for registration one hour before the start time to ensure that everyone has an equal chance of registering (on the off-chance that the tournament reaches it's maximum entrants).

----------------------------------------------------------------

Once again I would like to thank everyone for their feedback, I can assure you that everything is taken into consideration and it's because of you, the players, that we are where we are.

Thanks for your answer, but you don't get it.
I know you're very proud to come here and announce you have a beautiful serie with an overall price of 5M€ instead of like 2M€. But strangers that create an account on winamax.fr are better than average, and strangers that create an account there because they have seen a thread on 2+2 are again better.
These guys are obv way better than the average french guy who plays on winamax because there are loads of ads on french TV, the single fact they know winamax exists proves it...
Ok guarantees are higher, but these additionnal stranger grinders are so good that it would be better to have lower guarantees but a worst field (100% french). F**K Arjel
