There is a possible scandal coming up regarding the "Winamax Series Million Event €1m Gtd.", day2 (of 3)

I'm one of the 1200ish remaining and obviously changed my entire personal schedule this week after qualifying on day1a (sunday).

1. The tournament lobby just disappeared a few minutes before starting time (8pm)
2. There was an overlay - all the starting days and re-entries didn't reach €1m
3. There is no information anywhere and nor has any player been informed in any way
4. The main lobby chat is currently full of angry and wondering players

Let's see what happens...

Day 3 is not necessary at all if you ask me. 1200 players is not that much.

2 hours after planned start they at least emailed out some information, so that's good.
Still there are many questions, such as the above.

Your feedback concerning reseating and other comments concerning the series has all been forwarded to the appropriate teams for consideration.

Regarding the Million Event Day 2, all players involved have been contacted by email with full information about how this will proceed. The tournament will continue tonight at 20:00 CET and play down to a winner as originally planned. In order to prevent the tournament lasting till 10am tomorrow morning, levels will be reduced from 25 to 20 minutes.

Any player unable to take part tonight will be reimbursed with a €205 (equal to a min-cash), however to be eligible for this reimbursement you must be absent for the entire tournament. Any player to have performed any action (fold, check, raise, etc.) in the Million Event Day 2 will be considered to have been available to play the tournament and will have no claim to compensation.

We offer our sincere apologies for this regrettable incident. In light of the two major problems that have marred the twelfth edition of the Winamax Series, it is clear that we have not been up to the task of providing the quality of service our loyal players deserve and have come to expect from Winamax. For this we are truly sorry. It is now our responsibility to redouble our efforts in the coming weeks in order to offer the kind of exceptional playing experience we hope our reputation promises.

was pretty mad yday but you def got the best solution with shortening blind levels and even give the players a chance to "buy out" when today was a planned day for day 3 anyway.

thoughts on reviewing some of the guarantees on your MTTs? the xpert has an 8k GTD on thursdays and the pricepool today was 14.3k. 15k/25.5k are the respective numbers for the highroller and 12k/20.7k for the xtase. im sure its not the only day where these (and other) tourneys smash their guarantees.

Gotta give hats off to Winamax how they handled the situation - once again. The buyout proposition seemed more than generous considering they didn't hack it off the original prizepool and paid from their own pocket.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind seeing Winamax on the international poker market, even though it's bit saturated I guess. Their software is the third best IMO after Stars & FTP (which is kinda sad because it's a dead site). And after those 3 softwares there's a huge gap between 888/iPoker/Ongame/Prima. (And Party but I wouldn't even consider that a software, more like a high school programming project.)

Played on Wina for bit less than 2 years and nothing but positive feedback. The same can't be said for any other site besides Stars I guess. The rake is bit steeper (raked about $57k in cash games alone/183k hands), but that's mainly because of ARJEL taxation I guess?
