Hi there BakinC00kies,

I can assure you that we have the required permission to post this thread here.

In fact, we are basically moving our thread over from the Internet Poker forum (which will be closed) and fielding any future questions from the community from here.

I hope that this calms any worries you may have had about this thread

make the rebuys 5k/5k/7.5k chips for BI/rebuy/addon or something, its a lot closer to your regular structures and french players seem to like big starting stacks in general.

also friday, 10.01 could use a decent 50-100eur NLHE event. buy ins are very low on that day and there are 3 PLO/HU mtts, def room for improvement there.

Euros. And even for them its a pain in the ass getting an account, as you only receive the emails in french and have to send in a bunch of **** that they sometimes don't even accept. At least that's how it was for me half a year ago or something until I gave up.

The series itself looks legit and it wasn't even remotely difficult to create an acc on ps.fr so I doubt this should be much harder.

Except for being in Eu, that's not super easy.

My roommate (who also got on stars.fr without trouble) has been trying to set up an account for a month now and still isn't there/has given up.. so yeah, probably not as easy!

Actually it was very easy for me as a uk resident to open account. Deposit. Send required documents and account was opened ASAP. I never had emails sent in French either, software is fast and slick .

It's been a while for me but iirc they open the account immediately but then close it after 30 days if you don't do the passcode check via letter in mail to prove you're in EU, in which case you lose all funds and your account is closed forever. And then the letter gets at least 29 days to come and might take longer. For me it came at the last possible minute and I just got it fixed in time to not lose my funds (I tried opening an account on another .fr site and actually lost $ back then because they didn't send me the letter in time), and I know someone who I think actually got his account permaclosed just because the letter never arrived. So if you don't have an account and wish to play this series it's probably already too late unless you want to risk the letter not coming in time, although I guess it's a freeroll since if you lose who cares anyway.

I think it's ridiculous that you take money from alot of daily tournament's prizepool and convert it to 150 euro tournament tickets to be tossed around the FT.

They are completely useless for any tournament other than your series Main event.

You have 3 freaking starting days, do you really piss yourself that much that you're not going to make it?

Winamax is open to anyone who has an EU bank account and lives in a location where it is legal to play on a poker site licenced in France.

Judging by your experience with us I would imagine that you tried to register quite a while ago. I can assure everyone here that in the last couple of years we have streamlined the whole operation regarding players located outside of France with dedicated support in English and German as well as our software and website fully available in these languages.

I would like to make it extremely clear that the funds remaining on any closed account are certainly not lost. The balance remains on the account and can be recovered by completing the identity check and validating your postal address.

I find this question confusing as any tournament we organise that offers tickets instead of cash prizes is listed as a "Qualifier" or "Satellite" in the lobby.

So that we're on the same page, please specify for me which tournaments you are referring to that have this done to the prizepool.

As this is the first tournament we are hosting with a guarantee of €1,000,000 we want to ensure that our players have as much chance of making a decent run as possible.

Of course, it would be stupid to deny that we also want to make sure we reach the guarantee. I'm sure you will agree that this is not such a bad thing.

If anyone is having any trouble registering or completing the account validation process, please contact me (in this thread, via PM or skype: winamaxdave) and I will do my best to help you out

Hi everyone,

So after verification with our tournament planning team, I can confirm that in the build up to the Winamax Series VIII, any prize won in a tournament that is at least €1,500 will have a portion of this prize paid as a €150 ticket which can be used to enter the Million Event.

Any tickets that are not used to play this tournament will be refunded in cash after the Million Event has finished.

Sorry about the previous mix-up.

Why is this in the Live section ? should be in the MTTc section.

Id prefer a longer series and less events per day
More fullring, less 6 max , specially on sundays
A turbo rebuy event, 5r or 11r fullring
Turbo events with 10k starting stacks instead of 20k
Better structure for sunday suprise during this series, 10k starting and 10-12 min blinds
Some daytime events on weekends

1. Move it to MTTc rather than MTTc-live ASAP so 2p2 can improve this since they ask our opinion.

2. I made an account in Winamax in ~late August/early September and the mail with the code thingy came in like 10 days or possibly less & all the e-mails from Winamax support are in English so I don't know who spreads these rumours but they ain't true @ all.

3. Back to the Series: I agree /w the bridler that there should be a half turbo rebuy full ring event and 1-2 daytime events on weekends.

4. Whole series needs changes to the Turbo/half turbo schedule because you guys have overloaded it with Turbos(AKA hypers) and there are only 2 half turbo events compared to 14 turbos. Change events: 7,19,31,38,54 to the half turbo structure otherwise mid-late game it becomes justanother <10bb jamfest.

5. Add a TLB prize pool of some sort. Winner gets free Buy-ins for next series and a Winamax live Open package or something, runner up gets just the package and 3-20 give tickets of some sort.

Winamax aint gonna change for 2p2 as the majority of their market is French, they just want more players

They might not change much but even the input of some players will improve their series and that way they'll get more players. If regs don't like what they see they'll either ask for a change and stay or simply leave. +EV for them to apply some of the changes requested.

Dave, this is the exact wording I got in an e-mail.

"Please note: starting from the date this letter was sent, you have a maximum of 6 weeks to enter the activation code. Should this deadline not be met, your account will be permanently closed."

It does really sound like if I don't activate in time my account is closed forever, why such a wording if it's not true?
