Yeah, I think all partypoker tournaments have ~20% ITM structure. May be there are a couple of exceptions like some big Majors, idk.

So yeah, 20% ITM = less money for the top places, more ITMs

was going to make a post about this tournament and others that share its payout structure and call them the 'forgottens' or something but was just to lazy to get around to it.

tournaments affected by this 'old' weird payout structure:
-4pm EST $109 turbo 3k gtd
-8pm EST $109 3k gtd
-11pm EST $50 1.5k gtd

similar field size/buyin tournaments using the 'new'(6-8 spots payed min cash receiving 2.3-6x buyin) payout structure:
-11:30am EST $109 5k gtd daily major
-9pm EST $50 2.5kgtd re-entry daily major
-(sunday only)9pm EST 5k gtd $109 sunday major.

i think party said before they were testing them out to see what people liked more or something but i think its safe to say the 'new' payout structured ones are better and its time to catch up the old ones.

All mtts that I play normally (micro/low sections) are with 20% ITM structure (referring to partypoker.dk, which doesn't matter, because they all share one pool of players)

looking back i was exaggerating as bit when i said long gone. there are a few tournaments using the 20%+ structure.

what i am seeing is all of the reds majors have been changed to a 15%ish and its all of the non major 'blues' or whatever they show up as in the bwin client that use the old ~20%

i personally have never minded the ~20% as it keeps the same really bad players mincashing for double their buyin and filling the games daily. i like having some 15% and some 20%, but those few tournaments i listed a couple posts back that are paying like 30% are actually broken. nobody wants to mincash for 1.2, 1.4,1.6x their buyin

Yeah, people take those couple of exceptions where the payouts are broken and try to paint that as being the rule for 20% payouts. I like 20% payouts and I've stopped playing a couple of tournaments where they changed to very top heavy structures.

That one is obviously broken just like tournaments that pay 6 people when there's 10 registered players.

New worse structures for satellites! Now applied to daily 10 seat Frenzy. After add-on you start with 15bb if you have starting stack + add-on.Why in hell have you decided to remove 3x add-on from this sat and instead offer just 2x add-on?

Please stop making your tournament structures worse every time you change them. I won't be playing your ridiculously bad structure Pokerfest satellites any more, with maybe this one as exception as it still awards more than 1 or 2 seats.

**Pokerfest postponed – $50,000 freeroll added to revised schedule**

We have today made the decision to postpone the upcoming Pokerfest series which was due to commence this Sunday, 27 September

The decision has been taken as a result of performance issues that have impacted our service following software updates this week.
While the issues are being resolved in full the decision has been taken to push back the start of the tournament schedule until Sunday 25 October to ensure an optimal experience for players during Pokerfest.

A new tournament schedule will be announced
Players that have already registered to any event will receive a refund of their buy-in directly into their account in the next few days

For our players to compensate for the inconvenience caused partypoker has added a $50,000 freeroll tournament to the updated Pokerfest schedule which will be announced shortly

Could you consider changing event #7 tickets for T$ (and other specified ones). It looks likely that I won't be able to play in Pokerfest this autumn

I hope that $50k is just offered to those players who actually play in some Pokerfest events. Otherwise it will just get freerollgrinders.

The tickets will convert after the entire series has completed.

Instead of a 50k freeroll do a Main Event with 50k added - it will get bigger, probably 500K !
