I mean really nobrainers
1. Get rid of these ridicilous expiration dates on tickets. There is absolutely zero reason to have them. The concept from a sattelite is that x amount of people put in money, which is then distributed among players in a certain way. Except for inflation (which can be neglected ofcourse, since that would take a very long time to have any impact, not speaking of there actually not being any inflation at this moment) the money should hold its value for as long as basically ever. There is no reason why for example 215$ would be worth 0$ after for example one month. There is not a single economic construction that works this way. You could argue discount coupons but those are mainly perks, which you didn't pay for in the first place and is more like a gesture of good will from a company.
2. Fix the endgame structures. They actually had a pretty good fix in their new tournaments (which all of them are already gone as well?) which allowed for more play in endphases, while reducing the earlier stages somewhat. No idea why they got rid of that. Having an average stack of 20-25bb in endgames - when the money is actually being divided - is not a pleasant experience, neither for regs as recs I woud imagine. This week - this is rather extreme example but not that uncommon - I saw someone chipleading the final table with 9 left while he had 24 bbs and average was 15bb. I mean, for a 12 minute regspeed that's pretty unacceptable. Just remove a few levels at the start, put in a few levels in between towards the end and you'll be good.
3. The schedule is just not very enticing. As jambo pointed out, the only thing there is to choose from is a 9max regspeed or a 6max turbo. Starting times are cluttered way too much, I believe on sunday there start 8 or 9 different tournaments at 20CET. That's just way too much. You could easily shift a few to either 1930 or 2030CET.
Also another nobrainer, when you implement new tournaments, you don't do so by creating a 11fo 1k gtd or a 55 3k gtd which you never ever increase and slowly dies again, or never gets the opportunity to grow. Either come up with a reasonable guaranteed, or adjust frequently and let it rise to its potential.
For example, the implementing of rebuys was just so poor, it blew my mind. First, structures were terrible, you could have to rebuy multiple times, and then after add on still have only 25bb. You had the goat rebuys of all sites for **** sake. The 3+3k + 6k it allowed for a ton of play and it was huge. Typically, if it ain't broken, don't fix it. Enough about the structures though.
The implementing of them was even worse than the structures unfortunately. I believe you first - AGAIN!! - cluttered them all into a timeslot, and then also set way too low guaranteeds. I'm 100% positive that if you decide to only make 2 FLAGSHIPS rebuys a day, it would get a ton of players.
Like ssly though, who actually thinks at the department of partypoker that it would be a good idea to implement both a 11r & a 22r AT THE SAME TIME WITH THE SAME ****TY GTDS.
For example could go for a 5-11r for low-midstakes players and then a 33r (I think in todays environment this buy in would be huge succes, look at stars' 33r!) and slap a fat nice gtd on both. I think 11r can easily support 10k, and 33r could be as big as 25k gtd at least.
I'm not sure about how the pko's are performing, but my guess is pretty bad, bc people don't care for a 1k gtd or 2.5k gtd. You set the bar way too low, and a lot midstakes players are not gonna be bothered playing a 22 pko 2.5k gtd ever. Either make a serious effort on the gtd's or get rid of them again.
Also why are there not any decent turbos for the <109 buy in range. Surely in the evening, your site could support at least a few 11 & 22s with a better gtd then the 1k and 2k of those repitive 6max turbos, of which you have way too much and are only played by overlay hunters. Why is there a balbao 109 9max, but not a 22 equivalent at least?
Could go on, but guess you get my point.
Edit: I actually think the expiration date on the tickets could be like borderline-illegal even.
There should at least be a warning whenever you get it or in the lobby from the sattelite I'd assume. Consumer protection and all that kind of legal stuff.
Also software it is what it is, it's obv not great, but has improved leaps and bounds so don't really care for that very much. Restyling the lobby would not be a bad idea though
