4/8/8,

$330 entry - $654 min payout, 18 pay, 19 left.

Fairly tight and jovial UTG 7 handed (15BB) opens 21k at 4/8/8. We cover and defend BB Qs7c.

Flop J97ssc. In a moment of insanity I decide to just lead jam for 105k and we get snapped by A7ss.

I thought along these lines -

We have a hand with decent blockers and raw equity considering our backdoors that probably has a mandatory flop defend but probably going to have trouble realising equity given turn SPR if we face a double barrel.

We can jam now to protect against his AT AK AQ holdings, flush draws / overs, pair + straight draws etc etc.

Check raise is possible, but I rather just max our fold equity and possibly we could also get him to fold better hands like a 9x and a better 7x being on the bubble.

Thoughts? Bit of a spew?

I thought Q7o is standard defend 15bb vs ep min raise.

Granted this is much larger than a min-raise, but i thought we could go slightly wider given this is a bubble spot where we cover V. Or is it just a fold pre then?
