Sounds dumb I know and I know resolution > size but will there be any noticeable diff tiling tables (# of tables/individual size) on a 21.5" or a 24" 1920x1080 than a 27" 1920x1080? I also plan to do some gaming on the monitor and I hear 27" 1920x1080 looks ****ty for games

take a physical photo that has a fixed amount of pixels, say 21.5'' big

now stretch it to 24''

now stretch it to 27''

fixed amount of pixels = quality would decrease with stretching? I don't quite get your analogy.

is there anyway to cool laptops for extended use, I was playing poker and then played some starcraft on my girlfriends basic laptop, and starcraft must have overheated it twice, does that happen on these beast systems ?
***Official Laptop/Monitor/Computer/Grinding Equipment Discussion Thread*** Quote

You can cool them with those fanpads you rest them on, but a lot of heat issues re: laptops, especially ones girls use, is they are clogged with dust from being used on beds and stuff, if you clean the fans that would help tremendously.

yeah def clean the fans (youtube it!) + that coolpad might help some

Might be a bit off-topic, sorry if so...

Im just wondering if there are any big disadvantage playing with tables stacked?
I usually play 6-8 tables tiled. But I tried a few session playing with tables stacked and feel that, that is a lot less stressful.

Any thoughts?

You can play a lot more tables
makes you less results oriented (don't get to watch your all-ins)
more mis-clicks for most people

If you max out at 8 tables I don't think there's any reason to stack. I started stacking at 30+ tables because tiling at that point is hard

Pretty sure you can't play optimal poker anyway at 30+ tables.

(fwiw he's halfway right, most of my downswings have come anytime I go over ~35 tables, I tell myself I've finally learned and keep it to 25 and under.)

Still, I'll take 3x volume and 1/2 ROI anyday

for em I do this:

tile: <6 tables
cascade: 7-18
stack: over 18

If you are playing the same stakes this is fine, however when your ROi is decreased by half overall, its probably decreased a lot in higher stakes where your edge is less and not that much in lower stakes where a standard TAG can give you a huge edge. You may still be profitable overall, but not on every table, which is important.

I am having huge problems finding laptops with 1920 x 1200 resolution, is that just not a thing anymore

not a thing anymore. Apple is pushing resolution so maybe it will work its way into the Windows market.

That harddrive is going to run hm2/pt4 really really poorly. Get either a 7200+ RPM drive or an SSD. The graphics card isn't good enough to game with.
