Haven't done the calculations, but your regular 160$ crocodile seems to have a better structure than the 160$ opening event. It's a bit faster early, but 15mins with lots of jumps outperforms 20mins with big jumps later in the tournament. I'm guessing runtimes are similar, where other sites make their series a lot slower (and often 2-day events, though not sure 888 has the capability).

It kinda baffles me that the person who is the face of 888 mtts has no idea about the structures of their own series and how they compare with the normal ones...

Re: ****Official 888 2015 MTT Discussion Thread****

i brought this up a while ago, the series structures on 888 have always been worse than the daily mtts, yes the blind levels in a series are generally longer but there are a few levels where the jumps are too big. The $12 "mega dozen" for example uses this structure and because its only 12 minute levels, the tournament is ruined a few hours in, basically, there are some micro mtt's that have better structures than "flagship" or "series" mtts, its very strange.

Re: ****Official 888 2015 MTT Discussion Thread****

The Super XL majors often last 10-14 hours and for most players that is a very long stretch. We do not have the option to create multi day tournaments but I think for many it is also an advantage to end play the same day. While it is true that there are less interim levels on the structure we use for 10,000+ starting chips tournaments, the levels are longer and we cannot really afford to add many more levels. We have been running the XL series for years now and honestly this is the first time I can recall such complaints so I doubt this is a consensus. As always though, we are open to hear more opinions about this.

Looking at the schedule, we do feel there is room for another level between T5,000 and T8,000 so instead of jumping from 5,000 -> 6,500 -> 8,000 we can change to 5,000 -> 6,000 -> 7,000 -> 8,000.

You cannot run $12 5000 people xl events with structure of friday challenge. In huge fields structures should be faster. Otherwise these huge xl events will last until 10am cet.

You can make structure change as you did for Mega Deep, if not, make at least this change you mentioned above. Just please get rid of a lvl 3.25k/6.5k, it makes my eyes bleed.

yeah it would be a good quick fix if you can add those blind levels before the series begins, it would not prolong the tournaments that much. Could you also do the same with the mega dozen? its always a good prize pool but the structure just kills it.

And please add some new stuff to the peak time daily schedule there are plenty of suggestions

Couldn't find it myself. I guess all that is not shown at the lobby will be daily tournaments with boring guaranteeds.

Also at the web page there's a glitch, at the home page for XL series it states:

Quote:
Instead of a Leaderboard, winners from each event will automatically be registered to the Tournament, which will award the top three players a once in a lifetime $12,500 package to the WSOPE 2017 Rozvadov. For more info, check out our Champion of Champions tab
While on the CoC tab it'll say just winner gets WSOPE package.

Also have to mention that series is super boring and I will most likely skip it as a whole, maybe exception being rebuy and O8 tournaments. That's since there's no leaderboard and winning a tournament and get a entry to a 200 player freeroll awarding 1 meaningful prize is a joke. If you would have made it a leaderboard I might have given whole series a shot.

Yes it is long, that's why 2-day events are the way to go for such a series. Now you add some play to the early stage with deeper stacks but you sacrifice mid-late play. The structures aren't bad, just not better than your regular structures (which are very good for normal daily tournaments).

will skip xl series completely because of:
  • no multiday
  • unlimited re-entries on main event,lol
  • too many total unseen accounts with a hidden nationality

Do you plan to offer any special $5 or $12 tournaments on final Sunday of XL series? $30 Micro Main Event seems a bit too expensive for small stakes players. Would love to see special editions of Mega Dozen and/or Mega Micro with increased PP on final Sunday.

Please increase blind levels of Micro Main Event from 12 minutes to 15 minutes.

Nearly every event is rebuy/re entry. Its a poor series because of this.I donno why you have done this when in ur recent series you have smashed most of the gtds.

Re entry scares away shot takers which is just gonna make your events tougher and not a fun series to play.

while I think it's true, gambler rec types don't give that much credit to some re-entry functionality, when 888s system depends on keeping the players in the game, thus paying less places than for example stars, where every re-entry counts as a player. This turns into bigger first prize and we all know how much that attracts gamblers/shot-takers

How about adding t1400 and t14000 too ?

Hey 888rep,

Fix Sunday Deepstack Monsoon label before it starts, its 5k gtd in client, it should be 10k.

Any reason why there wasn't Sunday Mini Lightning 5k gtd when it exceeded 6k prizepool last week? And Early Mini Lightning should get special Sunday edition as well.
Also I don't get why challenges like Monday Twins don't use same blind structure as regular tournaments. Why are some levels missing and aren't smooth? When I checked Monday Twins yesterday average stacks were ~40 000 on 1k/2k which is arguably lesser deep then your freeze-out tournaments.

Re: ****Official 888 2015 MTT Discussion Thread****

can you bring back the old structures for the rebuy tournaments? they are all dying?
or at least are you going to replace the $12 rebuy in the morning schedule? (was around 11:15 gmt i believe)

the morning schedule is seriously bland, way too many turbos also
you should also replace the 55 knockout that you replaced the monsoon with... why are there only like 4 super knockout tourneys with in the whole 24h schedule? recs love them
