Agree, the half buyins this Sunday were the i lu reason I opened the client and they were good. There is a demand for 50-109 price range with good gtds.

+1, 888Poker was once best site for good deep-stacked poker but they ruined this after they introduced PKOs tournaments and make basically all MTTs turbos. I don't think they care anymore sadly (they are not even reading this thread anymore I bet).

rake or break is a dumb format , if a tourney doesnt hit a guarantee it's effectively rake free anyways , just a way to not have to pay overlay while giving the illusion the tourney has a guaranteed prizepool .

888poker is a shell of what it used to be , so many good tourneys withered or gone compared to a few yrs ago .

Really don't think this model of raking every tourney/re-entry 10% is sustainable if your goal is to grow as a poker site.

What happens if you win multiple seats to one of those XL series events? I know with the big fish such as 33 and others, you get big fish tickets. But with these XL events, what happens if you win 2 or even 3 tickets to it since many of these tournaments have up to 3 satellites?


Could you play the satellite again to it if you won a seat? Do you get more tickets or you get tournament dollars?


If you get tickets, wouldn't it be useless if there are no more events of that buyin? Example you win a seat to an XL Event number 6 that is a $55 buyin or say $109 buyin. Or could you use it for a regular $55 or $109 etc tournament? What if its say a satellite to a $250 buyin etc where that buyin only happens in these series and they don't have these tournaments regularly?

whats going on with the bounties today? they are absurdly big and bounties arent displayed in the lobby.. do we even keep them on our account?

We had a bug with this the PKO event of the Super XL, where basically 100% of the bounty prize went to the winning player's bounty and none to the winning player's bankroll (usually its 50%), and so no one besides the tournament winner actually received actual bounty prize to his bankroll. We will of course compensate anyone who was affected by this, but please allow a few days as this is not a trivial compensation method. We apologize for this and thank you for your patience.

Hi Guys, we will be running a PKO Series from 10-17.11.
The main event is $320 buy-in with $300K gtd. Also a bunch low stakes tournaments in the series with nice gtds.
Also on the first Sunday of every month starting November, we will be running a new $1,050 tournament called "The Dragon".
Guarantee is $200k, deep structure and lots of satellites.

Since the rake or break format we have been trying the last few months has not been reaching the target guarantees, we will be returning these tournaments to standard GTD tournaments. This is the plan, let us know soon if you have other suggestions:

The $530 Whale - $320 weekly tournament (Sunday) with $20K gtd (non-pko)
$215 PKO – will move from 18:00 GMT to 15:00, non-pko, $10K GTD
$109 PKO - $5K gtd, non-pko
The $55 Twister – $3K gtd, PKO
The $8.8 PKO - $2K PKO

That's what I calculate too based on that pay table.


Only caveats i can think of -


(a) this is only running for a month,
(b) they can change your payouts and daily max at any point - as I understand it, this is personalized per player.
(c) it does not cover tournaments - discussed in a special 888 thread in zoo, but iirc tournaments are considered 'fees' not 'rake' so is not included in this cashback promo.

I once was able to spin the wheel in the android app and I got some cents back at 5%. I only play tournaments/sng/blast.

18:00 $109 Warm Up with $100,000 guaranteed
18:30 $320 Main Event with $300,000 guaranteed
19:00 $1,050 Dragon with $200,000 guaranteed
19:30 $33 Mini Main Event with $50,000 guaranteed

Lots of great value satellites running today as well (20 seats gtd to the dragon, 30 seats gtd to the main etc) so good opportunity to qualify for cheap.

There are really no PKOs during the peak hours after the $22 goes off. Something between that and the $55 6-Max could be great with a little bit of a marketing push imo.

would like to play a bunch on 888, but I cannot receive money transfers anymore whilst other peers can, why is that?
also the only deposit option that would have worked I would have been charged infinite. if your site would not be shady af u'd have a lot more traffic I assume
