sigh, 12:00 ET $5.50 Ultra-Deep is even worse but I already registered it. Should have stayed at 08:00 ET...

So it seems now that Bryan is away and someone is doing some weird moves. Way to go.

Yes he still has full responsibility for the series there was just some necessary changes that we needed to make.

Not posting replies etc itt just making announcements if there is big changes. Most things stay as they are, for example 1000 runner $22 FLO8 field we realise will definitely overlay but we leave it in, stuff like $33 75k that overlaid 20+k if its on the next day makes sense to make it a little bit later so more people can play it.

I was looking forward to finally having some cool midstakes tournaments that I can play without having to stay up for most of the night - you're already focussed on ET for all your main tournaments, can't you let UK etc players have just a couple of good mid stakes tournaments that we can play in daylight hours
+1

Sorry but no, this can't be right. It doesn't "make sense" to change the announced schedule during the series, less than 24h before the events. The tournaments were nicely spread across the day precisely to allow more people to play.

What does make sense is to plan in advance and not be overly optimistic on you guarantees if you don't want massive overlays. If your peak time is at 8pm CET, it's unrealistic to expect field sizes you've never had before, at 2-4-6pm.

I honestly thought these huge gtds were intentional to create overlay & buzz. I'm surprised to see they're not and how you're reacting after only 1 day of the series.

Given how people were always complaining about the conservative gtds during series on PS, I strongly believe this wasn't Bryan setting the gtds on these tournaments, and whomever overruled now does all these schedule changes to reduce the consequences. That would also explain Bryan not posting here anymore.

Might be better to take a hit, learn the lesson and conserve a clean reputation. What info are you getting about the potential of $33-55 tournaments mid-afternoon (CET) now that you moved these?

event 6 $11 phase 2 was super quick and shallow. Was this by design? Finished in under 5 hours

and event 7 is still not in the money after 7 hours because someone decided to last minute move it 4 hours later. It's still 475 people left, I'll just finish ITM and sit out, thanks for the experience.

(my bad for not checking it, but come on, this is miserable)

This is not the point.

Ultra-Deep on Stars means just huge starting stacks if I'm not mistaken. It's not called Deepstack or Ultra Deepstack. My criticism is aimed at moving it 4 hours later without thorough consideration and not making it 2-day.

Didn't like that you changed times on some of the tournaments, made me cut my schedule

Can we expect this during this week as well? Or this upcoming weekend? Or can we actually trust that the schedule in client now is the "real" one?

why is this schedule of the series

https://www.partypoker.com/monster-series/schedule.html

different from the actual schedule in the client.......

seriously wtf is this.

why bother even releasing a schedule if you ain't gonna stick to it.

deposited on party poker strictly for this series.....and now i withdraw.

i'm just kind of a rec-fish.. and i was really looking forward to this monster series because the first schedule of the series published here on 2+2 was looking great. deepstack micro mtt's with a lot of 2day-mtts. this means something really special for micro-players i think..

although the series is still a good thing, my motivation shrinked to play whole series when i saw:
1) a lot of 2day mtts are 1day tournaments now
2) starting stack was great when mtt's were published in the client, for some reason they changed to just 100BB now (looks like guarantees were miscalculated and you wanna produce a lot of re-entrys. but idk)
3) i organized my private stuff last sunday in a way that i can play the series and suddenly starting time of some events changed

i hope these things will not happen again in further series..

I have a feeling this whole mess is linked to Bryan's absence. Not the best way to start taking over stars, will hurt players' trust.

Yea, thanks for messing everything up. Was so hyped for the schedule and now due to time changes I won't play much at all. Also where is Bryan?

I, like many others, plan my day around the tournament schedule. Changing the start times of those tournies completely messed this up and led to me not bothering firing any on Sunday.

I was hoping this series led to me switching to party but if anything it's put me off and I think I'll stick to stars for now.

Completely unrelated to this series but your lobby is a joke seriously. It hurts my eyes when i look at it.

yeah im dissapointed too, how it was handled, schedule changes etc., just so unprofessional..... lobby messed up too, once i was able to find Jab in the lobby afternoon, but i was unable at night when starting time. sattelites also just mess up the whole lobby.

The new format of the main event looks great to me and I'm thrilled to try it.

BUT, this change should never have been done during the series. You should have waited for the next weekend, for the title fight. Furthermore, you announced this in here 1-2 days ago but you didn't even update the schedule on your website. You can do this with your weekly schedule (and you're doing a lot recently) even though it looks a bit amateurish, but not with a series that was announced so long in advance, and which has created some hype and expectations around it.

I also disagree with moving the warm-up to be the same start time as the ME. It doesn't really make sense to be called a "warm-up" anymore, to me. As it was stated before, mid-afternoon tournaments were a perfect occasion for euro-zone players that also have a job to play a tournament without wasting a full night. The warm-up with its initial starting time was perfect.

For my part I'll definitely play both, but this leaves me a bit bitter-sweet.
