Live Table Break/Change Frequency?

Hello all. I played in a WSOP $2,500 NL tourney a couple years ago. Upon recent reflection, I realized that when I busted (a little before the dinner break on day 1) I was on my 4th table--this seems like a lot of table changes, does it not?

If you would be so kind, what are your experiences with average frequency of table changes?

Other than people getting stacked, are there clear variables that contribute to this? How often would you expect to move tables at, for instance, the main event?

Any input is appreciated

Re: Live Table Break/Change Frequency?

table change is fairly random. Sounds like you had a tournament where you were moved more often than normal.

How often per X% of the field busting I'm not quite sure, but 4 before d1 dinner seems more than average.

Question is, why does this matter to you? It's only minorly relevant. If you told us why this information was important maybe we could answer more in depth.

Re: Live Table Break/Change Frequency?

They generally break from low-hi or hi-low. Meaning they break table 1 first, then 2, then 3 etc. If you happened to start on table 1, then happened to keep getting moved to other low tables every time then your experience is quite different than the guys who started at table 50 and never got moved.
