One of the best folds I've ever seen...I think...

Can somebody who knows much more than I do break this hand down and give an opinion on whether or not Ian made the correct play? Maybe even though clearly the fold was right, he should have gone broke here?

iirc Mckeehen was 2/6 and the KK guy chipleader, which makes the spot really close. It’s probably too thin to jam 77, and qx/tx bluffs need to work ridiculously often (Doug’s icm comments apply both ways). It’s super unlikely he would go for it against this suspiciously strong lead.

But its not just that he has to have only Q10 but he is going to 3 bet it some and not call on the flop a lot so that is what makes the fold ridiculous.

He definitely thought he had a pretty significant read on Joe, even beyond the one he gave away earlier.
