Doesnt sound like a pat on the ass to me ?
not to mention the girl was apparently 14, not 16.

Also, care to address two convictions for sexual battery pre 1991, and the additional accusations in 2010?

For that, I was given the Three (3) Year Prison Term... It's all right there in black & white.

NOTE: Thank you to Mr. Dorkman (or whatever his name is) for posting that for me. I was having trouble uploading it myself.

Not sure about the timetable with all the events, but if the EPL didn't want him to play the main event, they shouldn't have let him enter the satellite. They can't just let him play and hope he busts to avoid confrontation.

He obviously seems like a really untrustworthy/sketchy/criminal person that I want nothing to do with, but that is sort of irrelevant to the situation about whether or not to give him his $20k.

I think the whole idea of the EPL having a moral and ethics committee, given that it runs POKER tournaments, is quite hilarious. I seriously doubt the people who are on that committee are such wonderful people themselves. If i recall, some people affiliated with EPL have family who helped run FTP and possibly make decisions that potentially cost players hundreds of million dollars...

*just edited this in realizing pretty much everything i said was already posted before*

It's like this guy didn't realize what he was getting into coming on here, last thing you want when you have a checkered past is to let a few 100 cyber-nerds dig up everything they can find you

Mr Devita tends to get very angry when some of these things get brought up, like what chasepoker found in his criminal records.

Maybe it's time for you to go find a new hobby, I think you're going to find it very uncomfortable to continue playing poker publicly

FWIW I am a big supporter of what Epic is trying to do with ethics in general, but letting a guy win a satellite to then decide he is not fit to play in the tournament when nothing as changed between his registration and the main event start is not right.

I hope you get your money back, no matter what you did or did not do.

This is not about punishing a pedo more etc. This is about EPL's credibility. And with this move it got none left in my eyes. From the get-go it felt like a big farce.. just a joke. For them to play ethical card they should also review whether funds used to buy into various EPL events by people tied to FTP were legitimate in the first place.

Speaking strictly from the legal perspective (1 legal degree behind), De Vito, regardless of his criminal past, is owed the remainder of his prize money to the tune of $18k fair and square.
