Given the nature of MTTs, decent chance he become an overall winner. Could have easily been final table ghosting cheated out of a very large win . That’s a pretty good reason for him to be angry and me to be a “reg hater” imo

I agree ghosting is cheating. And I know in my regular games not so long ago mass refunds were dished out coz of a collusion group.

So with this going on and ghosting its pretty ****ty for honest players.

I think we all have this tendencies in lower/higher level. For ex:
- I know I crush abi 5, probable break even on abi 10 and ev- on abi 20. For some reason I can't avoid to play big fields of 20+ mtts hoping to catch a big score (while playing those with money I made on abi 5).
- When I have some extra cash I travel/buy some useless stuff/buy something to my gf/go to a expensive pub/even rent a beach house.

This days I just want to play the sunday million, which I'm probable EV- but maybe, just maybe, win it. I mean odds are 10000:1 which are better than loteries anyway; and I'm my country you can live with 10k/year. With 200k I probably won't have to work again.

So - the most degen day I've had in the last 10 years, if I've understood the question propery, I lost about 15k.

There is another way to interpret that question. I've had a lot of very alcoholic degenerate sessions, where, I've maybe even been up overall, but it's degen, in the sense that it is just way too much alcohol for a man of my size. That also happens, and I can't put a number on that.

1k was already in USD, and about 200-220 days a year. So a bit under half that on an average year.

I like gambling on skill games - pool, poker. I play pit games as well, but it's not anywhere near as much fun. Blackjack is OK, but I'll never be sober enough or quick enough to count down a deck, and the rest of the games are obv -EV regardless. I like to think that my decisions have an impact on the outcome of the bet, and roulette doesn't really provide that.

Can't post screen name, but if there is interest, can PM a mod with it to post graph. I used the same SN on a different site before this fiasco, so I am stuck with it now.

-25k on new site since being banned on Stars over a year ago. Running at about -10%, which I guess is not bad for a rec in the current climate.

Couple tips (you asked for them this time, if I misunderstood - my bad):

1) My friends have been saying good things about the UpswingPoker MTT course. If you naturally lack discipline, you can have fairly strict preflop open ranges that sort of keep you "under control".
2) In the end of the tourns, utilize Jennifear push/fold charts. You can become a bit tighter than recommended push/fold charts when you are in the money or on the bubble with below avg stack due to ICM considerations.
3) I find that I do not tilt as much/get as wasted when I play when I have something else besides poker in the background. For example, I find that when I watch football (American) or boxing/MMA (which I bet on of course) when I play, it relieves the natural boredom that comes with MTT's and I actually do better.

Also another game you might like is BLAST Sit'n'goes on 888. You always have that lottery-type shot at a high score.
