Sorel is the bomb! Great player, sick reads and abilities and wins consistently. Of course there are haters because he has multiple accounts. Get over it. He doesn't use them maliciously to "cheat", simply alternate identities. Guarantee that 25% of FT have multiple identities. Not too hard to get 2 bank accounts and 2 email addresses, Duh!

I am not a fan of Sorel nor a hater, I have met him and he's always cordial and nice to be around but it's not like I have hung out with him or anything. I did send this letter to ftp after his reinstatement.

" I am taking this time during the FTOPS $300 PLO HU to email you guys about the unbanning of Sorel 1mperium Mizzi. I think you guys really need to look at what you are doing

and the statement you are making by letting a known cheat back onto the site. For the recore , Sorel is an acquaintance (friend) of mine but I think you are treading down a very

slippery slope. He has stated numerous times that he has continued to play on full tilt even though he was banned and with the way you deal with people who happen to log in on

others computers and banning them without due process is ridiculous. You guys banned me one time for nothing and if I didn't know like 15 full tilt members I probably wouldn't

have gotten my account back which is wrong on so many levels.

The only thing I can think of to let him back on is because you are doing M.E.T.s , the very thing you banned him for in the first place, but if this is the case you need to

make a statement immediately with ftpdoug on the forums or assign someone to monitor the forums for you and speak on full tilt poker's behalf because you look really awful as

a company right now. I enjoy full tilt which is why I am lending you this advice,.

Issues concerning game integrity and security are extremely important to us, and we go to great lengths to ensure that our games are the safest in the industry.

We take all the particular circumstances surrounding a player's actions when considering whether or not to suspend that play and for how long. This is also the case when we review older cases. When a case is reviewed and a ban lifted, it is by no means an indication that we condone the past actions of the individuals in question.

In regards to the lifting of the account suspension of ?Imper1um?, we have taken many aspects of the issue into account, and did not come to the decision to reopen his account lightly. In addition, his status as a well-known player in no way affected our decision making process.

For privacy reasons we don?t discuss the details of cases like these with third parties. However, we can say that ?Imper1um? contacted us a little over 12 months ago requesting that we review his suspension. He was advised that we would consider his case again in another 12 months as long as he did not attempt to circumvent his suspension in any way. We fully believe that he has complied with our requests, and believe he has now served out an appropriate length of suspension.

That being said, as in all cases of this nature, we will continue to monitor his actions closely to ensure he continues to abide by all of our rules moving forwards.

We appreciate you taking the time to get in touch with us on this issue, and hope to have eased any concerns you may have had.

It is clear that he went through his due process and if ftp wants to let him back on then you guys have the choice as to support that company. I know full well that you (pros) aren't going to boycott ftp because you don't agree with their decision & that is the same thing Sorel did by continuing to play. When I got a ban for being staked by JJ Prodigy on Stars I only got a 3 month ban and I said publicly that I would abide by it and stay off Stars & I did just that, BUT had Stars banned me for life I also stated that I would set up a new account and play and I got flamed for being honest. Sorel cannot win this online fight because if he tells the truth he gets flamed and if he lies he gets flamed so it's a no win. I'd state with a decent amount of certainty that most pros who got banned for life would continue to play if this was their livelihood.
The problem I have is with ftp banning players for life so regularly without due process (not the case in Sorel's case). I logged in with a new air card not long ago and it said I was in Washington which I wasn't (I live in Austin) & so I logged in on a friends hardline and got a letter being banned. Had I not known several ftp team members who knew where I lived and could verify everything I might have gotten my account banned for good.
Anyway, this is wayyyyy longer than I wanted it to be but I do want to say GL to Sorel. I was trying to come up with an analogy and all I can think of is that safety from the Raiders a long time ago who today everyone calls was the dirtiest player ever but when u talk to players who played in that era they say that the game has changed and what he did back then has no bearing on who he is today. I guess it will sound to some like I am condoning what he did and I am not, all I am saying is if I can change, and you can change, everyone can change. Sorry, had to throw in the Rocky reference at the end. GL Mizz

"A few months after FTP made it clear that I was banned indefinitely, I was forced to make a big decision. Respect what I thought was an unfair ban or continue playing on FTP under an anonymous alias. Since online tournaments were my livelihood at the time, and FTP hosted a huge percentage of the ones worthy of playing, I chose the latter. This put me in quite a dilemma as I wanted to tell people who knew me the account I was playing on, but obviously didn't want to be reported and banned.
