Choosing your seat in a WSOP tournament

I have the handicap of bad vision.
I am unable to view the board cards from seats 2,3,7,8.
In local tournaments, the tournament director makes arrangements for me to play from a more central seat.
I will be playing in the WSOP for the first time this year.
I am wondering if it is possible to request a central seat in these tournaments as well.
Does anyone have knowledge on this topic?
Information would be greatly appreciated.

Doubt it. Why not bring a small monocular. I've played with a guy who uses one to see his cards

There was reportedly a guy selling custom-made ones that were just the right magnification for poker. Heard about it at last year's WSOP.

I also have bad vision, and often have trouble seeing the board cards from those seats as well. I always request a central seat, and usually get it (although sometimes it takes a TD to allow it).
Re: Vegas, I usually don't have any problems getting this request granted in general, but at the Rio I have been told no. That said, I find their tables are on the smaller side, so I didn't really have any trouble there. I haven't visited Vegas during the WSOP since 2014, though, so I'm not sure what changes have been made. It never hurts to ask, I would just explain that you have a legitimate problem.
Good luck!

I played d3 of an event last yr with a guy who also had vision issues, although his required that he be in the 1 or 9 seat. He said he'd never had issues being accomodated, and had on this occasion also had no trouble - if he could arrange specific seat positions pretty deep into an event, I'd imagine you'll have no trouble.
