The interesting questions for me would be whether or not to call pf and whether we should just open jam flop. I’m thinking we do call, but depends on the other stacks and ICM. When I’m this short and I hit a piece of the flop I usually just donk jam.

Well you have 8 bb and you decided to defend. So you think V's range is loose enough to make T5s a profitable defense.

You don't have any bd flush but you did hit a pair and no A and K on the flop. Pretty much a good flop you could hope for.

If even hitting this flop it is not profitable to get it in then it is wrong to defend in the first place.

Not sure what pio would say but I think this is donk jam or x/r jam.

I like the defend getting 4.4-1. There aren't much negative implied odds due to poor playability of the hand and being OOP, since you are so shallow. 10 and 15 years ago, no reg would think of defending so short.

I probably just fold pre. I realize it's a +cEV spot to defend, but this short I'd rather just preserve my stack for shove FE and wait for a reasonable hand. On the flop I think you just have to go with it. You don't defend this hand off 8bb to fold a pair otf.

I like the defend. It will be easier to realize your equity coz your are very short.

I think the flop is a x/jam. With SPR of 1ish, you cannot be folding when you hit a piece on this flop. I would donk jam any gutshots or better to take advantage of the fold equity. And when I hit something like in this case, I will x/jam. You are well ahead if villain has two over cards or something like that.

I too would defend, then RAI as played. I much prefer the donk shove, since, even with that tiny bet by Villain, he is very likely ready to play for stacks. He knows you will likely be CRAI with 7x, and probably 3x, or even 8x.

At lower stakes, where Villains will be less savvy and be cbetting far too much, we can comfortably go for the check shove.

PIO likes to either open jam on flop, or check shove. If you give it just jam/check, it jams well over 50% of the time.

I think that as an exploit, you can go for the check jam since many Villains will overbet this flop. In a $5200, I wouldn't expect that to be the case, and just jam myself to deny equity to hands like QJ that might check back on the flop.

As played I jam.

I would probably have donk jammed the flop to maximize Fold Equity.

I would worry that this is such a BB specific flop that a lot of villains would check back the flop. Or they would jam themselves and we lose the opportunity to just take it down.

But it turns out that villain did the one thing that actually leaves us with FE. Not sure Villain would fold two overs but it may be technically a mistake for villain to call.
