You shouldn't open as many hands from the button or cut-off as you do from the small blind, but still, you should play a lot of hands from these late positions.
Early and middle position players raise tighter ranges. The fact that they can win a few (or a lot of?) chips if everyone folds is a factor to take into account, but not as important as in LP. Think, for instance, about how you'd feel about a wide(50%)-range call on each case
