I’m a cash player who’s been learning tournaments recently. The most common advice I get is that u need to play more loose and aggressive to build a stack and have a chance at winning the whole thing. But I fear I might be taking it too far.
Here’s a hand I played in a deep stack tournament with 600+ entrants. There’s about 400 people left at this point.

300/600/100
HERO SB = 25K
villain tightish reg BB = 23K
Folds around.
Hero Sb 33dh raise to 1.8K bb calls.
Heads up.
(4.2K) Flop A57hdd
Hero bets 1.7K villain calls.
(7.6K) Turn 4d check, 6K, Hero jams?

I’m hoping for a bet/fold from an ace here. Any thoughts appreciated!

Not the right forum for this post in either ssmtt or mid/high mtts. My answer would vary as to the stake level you are playing
