I had around 2.2x starting stack around 7-8 levels deep into a $109 50k gtd on ACR, when the tourney randomly just stopped and said it was cancelled for technical reasons. A replacement tournament was scheduled for 30 minutes later, and i was refunded my $109.

This seems a little ****ty, so i got onto chat, who told me it was their T+C that when tournaments are cancelled, buyins are refunded and nothing more.

I then asked the chat about people who had busted, and he replied that 'they were not refunded'. (i have the chat log image saved, can upload if anyone wants to see). 2-3 minutes later, the answer was changed to 'yes busted players were refunded'.

Did anyone play/bust this tournament before it cancelled, and if so, can confirm they were refunded?

has anyone had this happen before, and can confirm they were refunded after a bust? And finally, what happens when a oturnament is cancelled when its in a much deeper stage? i guess they have no protocol for sorting this out, as you would think said protocol would just be used in tournaments that are cancelled in the early stages too.

either way, pretty ****ty, guess theres nothing i can do, unless someone out there has had a oturnament cancel on them when they have a big stack, and managed to complain enough to get some sort of rebate? wouldnt mind hearing about that too!

Edit : i also regged the replacement tournament after specifically stating to support that i wouldnt play it if more compensation was not recieved, and got 18th just for a little extra needle on me from ACR !

Idk about that situation, but the client is now acting stupid... wouldn't open when I tried, so I uninstalled it, and now it won't let me download it again, keeps having an error when I try to install. Almost to the point I just wanna get on there to cash out, seems there are more technical problems on ACR than anywhere else.

Yes, I've busted a tournament before and received my buyin back after it was cancelled and refunded.
