Alright,

today before i started the grind my bankroll was about 13k.
I could withdraw about 4k. the other 8,x k were so called "bonus balance". I cant withdraw that money.
I sent 3k to a friend.
I played tournaments worth 6k usd.
My bankroll was down to 4k. my bonus balance was 3,x k. I checked it during my grind. I ended up winning a large amount and now my bonus balance is 8k. 8k i cant withdraw. this is a mess and a str8 scam in my opinion.
this is their policy:
https://www.888poker.com/real-money-.../bonus-policy/

If i would have lost the 6k today, but would have won next sunday a large amount. what would happen ? Bonus balance back to 8k ?
this is just unreal.

I really hope someone from 888 is taking care about this in general .
If the comunnity realizes this policy, its gg

good night

Bonus balance should be 3,x k at the most it makes no sense that it increased.

The fact that money sent via player to player transfer is regarded as bonus money is obviously really bad. Other than that I don't get ur complaints about the bonus money. If I get 3$ bonus balance, and win 10 $ from it, the 10$ obviously stays as bonus balance(and cannot be withdrawn) until you've met the wagering requirement of the original 3$ bonus. Nothing wrong with that.

I won $200 on the MVP spin wheel and instead of getting the money they credit a $200 bonus that takes $7k in buyins within 30 days to clear.

After 10 days it just magically disappeared :S .

This is unfortunately a safeguard that is necessary to some degree for pokersites to protect themselves against fraud, such as bouncing credit card deposits, chipdumping, etc. Otherwise you'd just send money back and forth or let someone else cash out to avoid playing it through.

Not saying nothing went wrong here (I don't know) but having to rake a certain amount before being able to withdraw money is standard practice across most sites.

Bonus Policy

We may offer bonuses and special offers from time to time (including but not limited to bonuses, Tournament Tickets, Free Play, free spins and Jackpot Vouchers) which are subject to this Bonus Policy, the User Agreement , and any promotion-specific terms and conditions made available to you (“Promotion Terms”). In the event of a conflict between the terms set in the Bonus Policy, the User Agreement and/or the Promotion Terms (to the extent that the terms apply to a bonus or special offer), the following order of priority shall apply: (i) Promotion Terms; (ii) Bonus Policy; (iii) User Agreement.

Please find a selection of 888poker’s promotions and offers here.
The 888poker Withdrawal Policy contains more information on how to withdraw funds.
All bonuses are subject to points accumulation requirements, which are requirements that require you to accumulate a certain number of Bonus Points (by making wagers totaling a particular value) in order to be able to withdraw bonus funds and any winnings associated with those funds.
Bonus Points are only accumulated whilst you have an active bonus.
You can accumulate Bonus Points by:
playing in poker ring games - for every $1 of your “contributed rake” you will earn 2 Bonus Points. “Contributed rake” refers to how much rake you are directly responsible for, based on how much you contributed to the raked pot relative to the other players at the table. For example, if you contribute $25 of a $100 pot (25%) and a $4.00 rake is taken from the table, you contributed $1.00 of the rake (25%).
playing poker tournaments - for every $1 spent on tournament fees you will earn 2 Bonus Points.
playing casino games (from your poker account) – for every $10 wagered in the casino you will earn 1 Bonus Point.
Unless stated otherwise in the applicable Promotion Terms, immediate (non-pending) bonuses may only be withdrawn after a player has collected 2.5 Bonus Points for every $1 of the received bonus amount. For example, a player must accumulate 25 Bonus Points before withdrawing a bonus totaling $10. When the applicable bonus point requirements have been met, the bonus and any winnings derived from the bonus will be available for withdrawal.
Unless stated otherwise in the applicable Promotion Terms, all bonuses (and any associated winnings) expire within 30 days of the bonus being granted. This means that you must complete the applicable bonus point requirements within 30 days of being granted the bonus, otherwise you will forfeit the bonus and any winnings associated with the bonus.
If you attempt to withdraw any funds from your account and any bonus point requirements for a bonus have not yet been completed, the applicable bonus (and associated winnings) will be cancelled upon cashout.
We may withdraw, revoke or amend any promotion at any time for any reason. If we do so, any bonuses that you have been granted prior to this will still be valid in accordance with the terms that applied at the time of their grant.
Any winnings derived from the use of bonus funds, whether in whole or in part, shall be paid as follows: (i) a payment to the player's real bankroll up to the bet amount that was funded from real money; (ii) a payment to the player's 'bonus wallet' up to the original bonus amount used to fund the bet or up to the amount that was in the player's 'bonus wallet' prior to funding the bet, whichever is greater; and (iii) other than in relation to Pick'em Poker, a payment of remaining winnings to the player's real bankroll if associated with poker games. If bonus funds were used on Pick'em Poker or in casino games, the winnings on such games will be proportionally distributed in relation to the bonus funds and real money funds used in relation to the relevant bet.
Your account is made up of both Available Funds (which may also be referred to on the website as "Cash Balance") and Restricted Funds (which may also be referred to on the website as "Bonus Balance"). Your Restricted Funds are the total of bonus funds that have not yet met the bonus point requirements and any winnings associated with such bonus funds. Your Available Funds are those funds that you have deposited and any winnings derived from such funds as well as any bonus funds that have met the applicable bonus point requirements. Available Funds can be: (i) used in any applicable game; or (ii) withdrawn at any time in accordance with the Withdrawal Policy.
If you have both Available Funds and Restricted Funds in your account, the next wager you make will use Restricted Funds first. Available funds will only be used once your Restricted Funds balance is zero. If you place a wager on casino games or the Pick’em game using Restricted Funds only and win you will receive, depending on your chosen account currency, up to a maximum of $500 in winnings. If your winnings exceed $500 you will only receive $500.
The jackpot prizes will not increase as a result of wagers made with Restricted Funds, Free Spins, FreePlay and jackpot vouchers. Only wagers with Available Funds shall increase the jackpot prizes.
Please note, that if you do not log in to your account for a period of 90 days, your 888poker Club Points and/or Bonus Points, if any, shall be forfeited without further notice.
Wagers made by you with Restricted Funds will not count towards the accumulation of 888poker Club Points. For more information on 888poker Club Points please see here
Bonuses differ according to the offering in which they are played and can be included in more than one offering.
If you have a pending message on the website's cashier regarding your recent gaming activity, we reserve the right to revoke your eligibility to participate and/or continue to participate in any promotion. In such an event, any bonus and/or other benefit which you have received and/or are eligible to receive under any such promotion, shall be forfeited by you.
Registration promotions and the first deposit promotions cannot be combined with any other similar promotion.
In the event of a bonus being removed from your account for any reason, we reserve the right to remove the full bonus amount together with any winnings derived from this bonus, irrespective of any point accumulation that may have occurred with the said bonus.
Wagering on all casino games at 888poker contributes towards the bonus point requirement but certain games contribute greater amounts than others. The following is a list of contributions towards bonus point requirements for each individual game type:

If you wager $500 on Roulette, $100 (20%) contributes towards the bonus point requirements and you shall receive 10 bonus points.
Low-risk wagering, such as betting on red/black in equal amounts in roulette, will not constitute a valid wager for the purposes of meeting the wagering requirements.
The terms "Initial Deposit Welcome Bonus", "First Deposit Bonus", "Match Up Bonus" and "First Time Bonus" all refer to the same Welcome Bonus.
The registration bonus package Terms and Conditions are incorporated herein.
Terms and Conditions in relation to Tournament Tickets (“TrT(s)”).
A Tournament Ticket may be granted by us to a player as a type of a bonus.
A Tournament Ticket is a ticket to participate in poker tournaments and Sit & Go tournaments selected by us.
We may at any time change the tournaments for which a Tournament Ticket may be used.
A Tournament Ticket is worth a fixed value and may only be used in tournaments that have a buy-in equal to the value of the Tournament Ticket. For the avoidance of doubt, unless stated in the applicable Promotion Terms, Tournament Tickets may not be used as a buy-in for a tournament where the buy-in is less than the value of a Tournament Ticket.
A Tournament Ticket can’t be used by a player to re-buy chips or to add chips to his/her stack during a tournament.
Tournament Tickets may not be: (i) exchanged or converted into cash; (ii) combined to create a higher value ticket; or (iii) transferred by a player to another player.
Each Tournament Ticket is granted with an expiry date. If a Tournament Ticket is granted as part of a promotion it will expire on the earlier of: (i) termination or expiration of such promotion or (ii) the expiry date of the Tournament Ticket. Once a Tournament Ticket has expired or the promotion has ended a player shall immediately forfeit the applicable Tournament Ticket.
In the event that a Tournament Ticket is granted by us for any tournament which is cancelled prior to it starting, unless otherwise stated in the applicable Promotion Terms, the Tournament Ticket will not expire or terminate but may be used by a player in another tournament of our choosing.
In the event that a Tournament Ticket is used in any tournament which is then cancelled by us after it begins, unless otherwise stated in the applicable Promotion Terms, any compensation will be identical to that of players who have registered for such tournament using cash from their bankroll.
Terms and conditions in relation to free spins and FreePlay:
All free spins and FreePlay credited to a player's account expire after 14 days. Unused free spins and FreePlay will be removed from the account after this period.
Winnings derived from free spins and FreePlay are bonus funds and are subject to the terms set out above that apply to all bonuses (including, for the avoidance of doubt, the bonus point requirements).
Free spins and FreePlay winnings are granted only after the member has finished playing all of his free spins or FreePlay.
Winnings derived from free spins and FreePlay are capped, as set out in the Promotion Terms.
Terms and conditions in relation to jackpot vouchers:
A jackpot voucher can only be used to participate in a jackpot game selected by us.
We may at any time change the jackpot game for which a jackpot voucher may be used.
Jackpot vouchers may not be: (i) exchanged or converted into cash; (ii) combined to create a higher value jackpot voucher; or (iii) transferred by a player to another player.
All jackpot vouchers credited to a player's account expired on the earlier of: (i) 14 days from being granted; or (ii) the expiry date is set out in the applicable Promotion Terms. Any jackpot voucher not used by the end of this period will be removed from the player’s account.
Players using a jackpot voucher to play on a jackpot game, will only be entitled to win and receive the jackpot prize and not any other amount in relation to the jackpot game.
The jackpot prize won with a jackpot voucher will not be subject to any bonus point requirements.
All jackpot winnings will be subject to the provisions set out in the User Agreement, including but not limited to those relating to Jackpot Winnings and verification of a player's win.

This Bonus Policy has been drafted in the English language. In the event of any discrepancy between the meanings of any translated versions of this Policy and the English language version, the meaning of the English language version shall prevail.

888 is shaddy af.
i was banned on 888 for 1-2 years for using their transfer option "inappropriately". me and a couple of my friends from my country with whom i was transferring regularly, but not all of them, it looked like random picks from our end. they didn`t give us any reason, said its in their rights to do it.
fast forward to last year, 888 goes on to getting a license in our country and i e-mail them to ask if i can play now, given i was banned before. they said there isn`t anything in their record on my name.

Does anyone know how long this policy has been in place for? Just wondering if I've had years worth of transfers being raked and not realise.

How does a policy like this even exist? 888 needs to change this immediately or players will leave your site.

I'd like to share my story. 888 policy is not acceptable at all.

I haven't played on 888 for quite a long time but decided to take a shot on todays Sunday's $1k main of their series.

I would simply deposit myself if there will be adequate deposit options provided for me. Unfortunately it wasn't the case so I had to ask other players to send me money there.

I received 3 transactions:
$590 , $1210 , $1265

So $3065 total.

I have played $1050 main, $215 satellite, $215 tournament with 1 rebuy and $160 tournament with 1 rebuy.

Total buy-ins: 1050+215+215+215+160+160 = $2015

Total cashes: 2800$

Money I have in my account after poker session: 3065 - 2015 + 2800 = $3850

What do I see when trying to make a withdraw or player transfer?

Cash balance: $785 (this is the amount I am able to withdraw or send to other player)
Bonus balance: $3065.

Could 888 explain please how money I received from other players, used for playing and cashed in tournament could be BONUS??

I would have no questions at all if I will see that I am able to withdraw $2800 and still have to play for $1050. $1050 is difference from total money received via player transfer and money used for buy-in.

This should work like that. I would simply play one more 1k tournament and that's it. Now not only I cant use my money I won in tournament as I want, I also have no idea how to make this "BONUS" money normal? I checked everywhere in poker client - there is no information about any restriction, casino wager amount, amount of rake at poker - nothing!

888, please think about it and make proper and logical changes to your policy. Well... At least tell me what exactly do I have to do to get my money out of the jail.

Thanks.

I have rolled over $980 since my initial deposit, so I'm about to collect my $400 bonus. I assumed I have to continue playing but then with the bonus money and rollover another $400 to collect it. Is this correct? I read somewhere you could use the bonus money on blast for a quicker rollover, but why would I do that?

Now that I read the above requirements posted by 2pacnrw16, I see that I have to rollover $400*25/10/0.05 = $20,000 in 30 days. That sounds strange indeed.

Now the bonus is even getting in the way of using my normal balance to play poker for real money?

So you need to rake 1.25x the total amount received in order to release the funds ? So if you receive £800 you need to pay $1000 in rake to be able to withdraw the $800

This sounds ok as a bonus policy but if this is the policy on transferred funds its hilarious . Transferred funds should have a 1x playthrough requirement and thats it

Also the UKGC says that bonus funds cannot be locked in to your real funds (new policy) so usually any winnings are added in proportion to real money/bonus money . So if you have £250 bonus money and £1000 real money and then win £5000 then your new balance should be £1250 bonus money and £5000 real (withdrawable) money

888casino has a bad rep on casinomeister (biggest site for player/casino disupte resolution and casino reviews) . In fact they outright refuse any sort of communication regarding player disputes

Having the same problem, Got a 1k transfer and most of my balance is under bonus balance now. Have bet about 1.5k on sports plus played some poker and still cannot withdraw.

So i basically have to rake 1k to be able to withdraw? If so will be the last time i play on 888
