He feels better on day 2, I'd be inclined to give him time before judging his fluffy day 1 based on his no reads thing. Cause if he's a villager he can own wolves.

Noooooooo

That is part of his wolfiness. Someone gave him "permission" to give no reads and he gladly took it.

He also easily "lended" me his vote an aksdal, although tbf, I think he changed it ... too lazy to look right now.

But the point is, he was mostly interacting with a select few people about stuff that anyone could easilt talk about as a wolf and not Herbie-izing the **** out of the thread like he should be.

Agreed.

Frustration, real honest frustration, can be super villagery, but anger is usually wolfy. And they are entirely different emotions even though they share some traits.

He did, he changed to vyk not too long after I was making my vyk > aksdal case.

I agree about the Herbie-izing, but right now I'd still be inclined to give him some time... tomorrow before condemning him. I'm biased I guess, if I know someone can be an awesome villager I tend to want to give them more time to be awesome. But yeah his first day of day 1 in particular looks so terribly fluffy and bad.

Fair enough .. but if stronger players start getting picked off, he can own villagers, especially newer ones, equally as hard.

Probably why everyone thought I was a wolf when I was soooooo pissed at Duck. But I was honestly pissed and I haven't played a game with him since, though I'll start again soonish I'd imagine.

He's not picking anyone off between now and tomorrow... and yeah, that is why I helped and even pushed his lynch when he was sorta like this his last villa game we were in together.

there's some truth to that but my point is that it's more reliable to look for similarities than differences

I mean, I obviously agree with you that there are differences between a person's wolf game and village game and that's what we try to find in playing this game

what I'm saying is there are other sources of differences

someone can post differently because:
- the structure is different
- their emotional state or circumstances outside the game are different
- the player roster is different
- they get heat early or don't get heat early
- they feel confident in their reads or they feel lost

you can't just say "you said something different last game and were a villager, therefore you're a wolf"

and you can't just say "you said that before and were a wolf, therefore you're a wolf again"

you have to look at how and why, not just what

I've seen different types of village performances from herbie, including being mia at times

We're obviously not really disagreeing at all then, so we can move on.

Can't think of any right now. Oh wait, yes, one:

Why did Supine make your villa list? He's been kind of lost in the shuffle for me, aside from Page 1 when I was clearing everyone who came into the thread.

Because...

I can throw together a case for him being villa tomorrow if you want. His first post was good, his reaction to your calling the post above gold was villagery, imo. You were referring to your own post but he had posted in between. I can find more.

One thing you mentioned when I mention you not giving reasons is that people can always just ask, so I'll ask... why do you think he is? For right now I'm hoping he is, but I have to dig to really decide for myself.

I hate to do this but it deserves more time and intelligence than I have available right now

I'll go over it tomorrow

I'm about to crash

It's not the MIA that bothers me.

Sun, you remember the phrase "a scintilla of passivity"? That is an example of just how closely I look at things when I'm not simply being my "entertaining" self.

I take a multitude of things into account when making reads. My scope is never all that narrow as to say things in such simplistic terms as X did one thing different, therefore X has a different role.

But sometimes I will emphasize one particular thing for effect. Ex: "Gatito is the leaning tower of Pisa."

Anyway, we're debating something that we agree on, so nm.
