Another NFL mash is something I'd be interested in designing/running. The 32 team thing is a good idea, but I agree with YG that it would restrict the player pool too much. I have a few other ideas for potential NFL themes. Ideally, full claiming should be allowed too, which is another issue with the 32 teams thing.

With all this SE talk here, anyone interested in designing and modding an English football/Premier League mash? While this might not be the sport that has most interest in SE, maybe there will be a spike of interest for English football from people who previously weren't interested in it due to World Cup? If those who know better think this isn't gonna gather enough interest in SE, can just abandon it straight away. Thoughts on whether it makes sense to try this or not?

The idea would be to run it in SE during the week when the new season starts, so at most a 5 day game starting August 11th, and ending Friday (15th) of the same week before the first matches on Saturday. There is also no game scheduled on POG then (at least yet), so this would work well with that. All POGgers obviously welcome to play in SE too. Wanting to keep it to 5 gamedays would mean a high carnage mash, which is probably what SE players want anyways. Would use the free kick mechanic from WC mash instead of ITAs, and probably re-use at least some other events too. All these would likely undergo some minor changes though. Then design and add some new events to keep things fresh.

Roleset would be completely new. I haven't started any planning, but thinking something like having current personalities from English football: players, managers etc. One way could be to pick the most interesting, rand them to wolves/villagers and then design roles for them. This could be a bit challenging, but would allow ALL claiming (yes, even flavor!) without punishments, since there wouldn't be any clear division of affiliations. Would need to give some roles not in the game for wolves for this to work though.

I likely won't be able to do any (or very little) modding on the 11th, can help with modding after I get back home on the 12th though. So the plan would be that someone else is the lead mod, with me being a co-mod, and preferably having another co-mod on board too. So if this goes ahead, looking for at least one person, preferably two (or even three?), who is/are familiar with English football, mainly the Premier League. I guess the modding part wouldn't necessarily even need any flavor knowledge, only the design part, so if there is someone who is interested in the modding part, that would be cool as well. I should be able to put in a decent amount of work in designing and preparing things, even though modding would be mostly handled by whoever is the lead mod.

I've started game design and have a little different idea for how I want to do it, but basically almost every role is a JOAT. I created 50 role names (32 teams and 18 others) and then literally randed them to village/wolves. This should make everything claimable. Now I am in the process of giving every role JOAT powers of all different sorts.

TH10, I can be the third mod in an EPL mash. I think it's a very good idea as far as recruiting new players go - the futbol regs are virtually untouched by werewolf. I have no interest in being the alpha mod or main designer of the game and to be honest, I might prefer playing it if I had the option(not totally sure on that since I'll 100% be playing the Tarantino mash a week after).

My only real suggestion would be to consult BAIDS - he used to be a werewolf regular and is one of the top poster in futbol threads, if nothing else he can list out every 2p2 meme that would need to be included in the game.

I suggest an NFL themed SE ww game prior to the NFL pre season. QBs vs. something...or w/e...would be fun cuz who isn't looking forward to NFL action.

The thing is I don't know if the EPL regs are interested in ww, so would need for the regular SE ww'ers to play as well, and don't know if that'll happen, not familiar enough with SE ww culture which is why I asked here so that someone who is could tell whether this makes sense to try or not.

BAIDS suggestion is def something to consider. However, maybe he would like to make a comeback to ww with this game? I don't think anyone who is consulted should be allowed to play, so if he is asked something, he can't play. I should know most of the EPL memes myself already, not sure if I can recall everything though. But not all memes need to be included either.

I already typed down some preliminary ideas for myself. But probably shouldn't really do more before 1. someone who knows more tells that this would get enough players for it to be worth it to go ahead with the plan and 2. someone signs up to be the lead mod.

I'd like to host a V+ 13er based on JK9++ setup. Should probably be in a spot without large games going on; participation is lower lately.
