My plan is to be a comod in 2-3 games and then run a game of my own. I'd really appreciate it if you were the one to run it with me. I'm thinking sometime in the autumn. Will need help with balance and likely some in-game decisions I figure.

This is a really great strat for any would-be game-mods out there, co-modding a couple of games gets you a feel for the basics of how things work and when it comes to game design there should always be people around that you can ask for help.

We just had HP6 which is perhaps the grandest game yet run on this site in terms of mechanics and it took a team of Gabe/CT/VMF to manage it but they can't run every game on the site and the same goes for a mod like Monkey Banana who has done a huge amount for POG in terms of game design, game-modding and helping out other mods with their own games.

We need to have a new generation of game-mods coming through all of the time so that things don't get stale. If you're planning on modding your first game then think about co-modding as some good experience and if you want to design your own game then talk about it itt or send me a PM and we'll get you on the right path. And for the people out there that play the games and don't mod, that's fine too, but please be aware when you're playing in games run by a rookie mod and remember they need to be encouraged and nurtured.

Ima start working on XCOM soon. It's going to have the tactics potential that HP had that didn't get used. (Imagine a bunch of wolves sat on a key square like high street and just openly stupefied / ganked / Expel'd anyone entering in a coordinated fashion. How awesome would that have been? But how can you have such a thing when people don't coordinate well and time zones / RL schedules? you ask; overwatch my friend, overwatch. Still need to come up with the mechanics to see what's viable, but I would love to see a game where outted wolves can actually still have a real impact other than just surviving for one more night action. You want to shoot all the sketchy players for a POE, well, even if they are villagers, that's not going to come without risk to clear players, if I can figure out how to do it.)

An NYC Subway mishmash game with a train station moveable map (e.g. Times Square is main hub and connects to like most other stations since it has the most lines) and events like track fires, fixing signal problems, dealing with panhandlers, rodent infestations, currency on your metrocard with items in vending machines... sounds like a lot of fun. The characters would be people caught up in the madness. I think I'll work on designing that.

Been thinking about putting together a World Cup ww game. Would be Players in the World Cup against Players not in the World Cup. Probably a small-ish mash with events, maybe ITAs, and pretty high death rate. Not sure about the exact details, but maybe like 25-30 players, game ends on d4 or d5 at the latest.

Unfortunately the schedule seems pretty full already, so not sure if it possible to run this at any point before the World Cup ends. Will have to think about it.

nutshot and I were planning a World Cup game we wanted to run in SE. We wanted to basically start this past Monday but we never really had the time to complete it.

That said, I had some (what I thought were) new, interesting ways to do ITAs with this theme. Our ideas were for high carnage/fast game as well. Hit me up if you wanna consolidate and co-mod something like this in the near future.
