I just need someone to run the vote counter honestly

I will do all the night actions, the flavor, etc.

Does the vote counter run automatically off a 2+2 account? If so, I can probably set up a spare laptop to run and let it do its thing. If it requires human intervention I probably can't.

actually yeah I have no idea how it works. If someone can teach me maybe I can do it?

Fennec Fox should run independently as I understand it.

The one in the sticky is independent in theory, but in practice it is nitpicky and requires pretty much constant oversight, maintenance, experimentation, and tweaking.

In a mishmash you will have plenty to do without trying to count votes for 25+ people, imo.

Especially if you get a lot of zoomer signups, they vote "early and often" ime.

maybe not the right thread for this, but all the people whose responses I care about check this thread.

Sheep has been run a bunch of times as a n0 event for a WW game or sometimes for later on but with the strict rules that collusion/discussion in private chats you might or might not have access to is forbidden.

What about an event where collusion/discussion via private chats is allowed but not in the main game thread. This rule is made known to all. Make the prizes decent enough to tempt some people into collusion, but they have to be careful because if a couple of people give the same dumb answer or a couple of people have identical entries then it can be outing.

Well, CYOA starts 9-22 and should be over by 9-30 or 10-1 at the latest, so if you wanted to start Monday 10-5, I think that would give people enough of a break even if they lived until endgame, plus you would be done in plenty of time for UD's late October game.

How does that sound?

Also for Xander, my concern with the sheep collusion is that it would be pretty easy for the wolf team to conspire in such a way that may not out them but would easily allow them to sweep the prizes.

I think you could do it, but you'd have to select the questions carefully...avoiding all possible memes and making it so that the collusion would be obvious if a few players kept matching.

This basically happened once. It was before my time but a couple of wolves colluded in a sheep game and completely outed themselves in the process - hilarity ensued

Not enough events exist that are/can be the source of reads imo.
They can be game content and it shouldn’t be a mod thing to make them intentionally unreadable.
Can be another factor into the design!

Why not? I see no problem with it, if it is in the rules.

Or you could make it a Peesh...then people would be conspiring not to match but to be different from each other...might be a fun dynamic.

I did start designing a Mishmash that was JRPG themed earlier this year - imagine a crossover of final fantasy, persona, fire emblem, suikoden, etc. - then felt it was probably far too ambitious and got lazy :P

Wondering if I can grab a time slot to run a game in early November around the election in the US. Maybe I can time it to go shortly after UD's game that is being run in late October?

Is this where we go to look for a co-mod? I've been looking back at some of the old games I modded, and it's given me the itch to do it again. Only problem is, I cannot ever be on the computer at EOD, only a phone. So if somebody could handle vote counts and posting execution results, I could do a game.

So, looking for a co-mod to help me fix the balance issues I'll inevitably introduce (I have a history) with some interesting powers, and run EOD. No particular time in mind for the game, but ideally before Christmas when I can guarantee remote work for daytime shenanigans
