I thought about that. Even if it was a "here's a game design for 50, I'll adapt it if I get more" thing.

I came up with a downside. Not sure I can remember it

blah a game is never completed. You always get new ideas and also there is the variable of player amount to which you have to adapt. You never know how signup goes.

I think if we have a problem with too many mishmashes being offered, there should be a preselection made or something. Not sure how this can be done though. Someone who creates his first mishmash with a relatively unknown theme is easily getting 50% players less than a veteran mod with a popular theme. Imho the latter should receive preference treatment in some way.

We know that if Krayz runs GOT3, CDL runs HP5, I run MtGII, CT runs LOTR or TL runs anniversary, the game will be huge (70+).

Maybe we should have like smaller mishmashes of like 36 players (my first game was 36 players) and have like 2 of those/month and one big. Something like that.

dunno, just blurting out some ideas.

The Homeland Mishmash of 44 players might have difficulty to fill. I like the theme a lot, the show is ****ing brilliant, but I'm not sure if many have watched it. Disko's idea of running the game in SE is not bad, there is a significant player pool in SE that doesn't set a foot in POG

Having said that, I'd like to run Magic the Gathering II somewhere after the holidays, outside the reach of another huge mishmash (GOT?). September/October. I have a smaller mishmash in design as well, but with current traffic I prefer to keep that one on stock.

You're off your feed recently. You should play more Werewolf and do less trolling.

my game design is already completed. i would just need to do the PM write-ups and stuff.

Gabe - im not sure if it's a huge deal that people haven't watched it. my role PMs and general game design is such that it wont spoil the show for anyone. kinda like LKJ's mad men game only mine will only be spolier-free. idk if it would be more enjoyable if i played up the theme more.

I'm not trolling.

People might have been confused about who was the clear winner of the argument between you two.

The problem is not that it will spoil the show, the problem is that if people do not know the theme, they are less likely to sign up.

Everybody should watch it though. It is terrific

At least when I had it done.
Yeah I finally got around to watching the video. It doesn't look that bad actually but there is a small risk of complications according to a buddy of mine who had one (his balls were swollen for several days). I'd rather not chance it since Murphy's Law and all that. Someone can have the 29th slot. My game is ready to go so it can run whenever but I'm in no hurry (obv)

I've been talking about the All-Vig Mishmash for months now and I'm asking for a slot well in advance. I have modded two previous mishmashes that ran smoothly, including the Time Travel mishmash, which I pulled together in four days to fill an open spot on the calendar. I would hope that my request to mod this mishmash doesn't get shunted into the general pile of "we've got too many requests and maybe a slot will open up sometime in 2014." I feel confident in my ability to get 40-50 people to sign up for what will be a fun, necessarily high-carnage game with amazing and creative roles.

Gad did mention his mishmash well before disko did, so if he's willing to do it on April 25 (he said he may do it earlier) then he'd get precedence over disko IMO. People who were on the list before Gad would get even higher precedence if they wanted to bump up.

I'll try to help get this figured out today, but would April 25 work for your game Gad or is that too soon?

Well, first, it looks like Thursday the 25th and Monday the 29th are open as of right now, and if there's a mishmash run in one of those slots and if we need someone, the 29th would be way more workable for me than the 25th.

While I could definitely have the design/roles finalized by the 25th, I'm actually flying to Vegas the night of the 25th for the weekend for a bachelor party, which obviously makes EODs and processing actions a much tougher endeavor. If it was a choice between doing my game on the 25th and doing my game in mid-July, I'd strongly prefer mid-July. If it's a choice between doing my game on the 25th and, like, not doing my game at all in the next five months because there's a backlog, I'd find a way to make the 25th work with a co-mod or something. I'm fine not doing my mishmash immediately; I'd just like to do it sometime before the end of the summer.

Cliffs: If the 25th and 29th are open and you want to put a mishmash in one of them, I could take the 29th. If you want the mishmash slot to go in the 25th instead, I'm happy to have disko or whoever take that slot, because logistically it would be tough for me.

Okay. I'll try to get back to you quickly on whether we'll slot you into a late April spot.

I offered Krayz the spot first because he mentioned that his conversion mishmash was ready earlier in this thread and "could go whenever." He has 24 hours to take it; otherwise let's slot Gad's game in for the 29th.

With CT's 24-man game going on the 22nd, probably better not to start one on the 25th after all. I was glossing over that at first.

Gad can take the slot

Not sure if mystery mash 2 counts as running smoothly from what I've heard tho

Okay there's that. Gad's all-mishmash game is on the 29th. We'll leave the 25th open to help make sure that CT's and Gad's games don't get hurt by an overload of games. People can run vanillas as desired in between.

With any luck the prospect of everyone being able to pew pew at night will draw them in.
