anything you post is content. not previewing your posts is potential information

In that case all we have to do is not nina-fix tags

The only reason we are even discussing this is because I didn't ninja-fix my tag.

So everyone is going know the exact same thing

1) I messed my tag up (from not previewing or w/e)
2) I fixed it

I had no idea people ninja-edited tags, fwiw

AFAIK, it's been POG canon from day 1 that you do not edit anything, ever, for any reason

Except if you're dead and you think the game is over, then you think it might not be.

I've never ninja-edited a tag in a ww game. I definitely think you need to use the edit box to explain you did something.

I've also been in games where people have asked permission to fix tags and its of course always been granted. I've also fixed tags in previous games and said so using the edit-box and nobody has said anything about it.

If it is the weekend and someone is posting by themselves, they can edit and probably get away with it. But anytime the thread is active, it is likely that someone will see the original post. So I think your fears of secret ninja-edits are overblown.

Or when you're the mod and you accidentially out somebodies role in the thread

I think you misunderstood what I was saying.

My point was that Soah's point was not valid as long as we just use the edit box (i.e, not ninja-editing)

or you could just not edit your posts and then people don't have to go back and figure out what it was that you originally posted

Yeah, I did.

I still thik it is easier to prohibit all editing. Just makes it easier on the mod, and it clears up any confusion/potential confusion. Plus you can always make another post if you need to.

I outted somebodies role as mod once too in a turbo but it involved a weird sort of subbing situation and nobody really picked up on it too much and I think the wolves still won

In the wot game many moons ago, I accidentally pasted everyone's role name in to the thread. Only people familiar with the books would have been able to read anything from that, but forutnatly durron saw right away & edited

In my first game, I killed the wrong player at night, revealed it, and then foolishly switched the kill.

beh

they wouldn't have to go back because you would just tell them "fixed quote tag" or "fixed image tag"

its not like its something that happens often

but i give up here.

I'll give it up too, but wanted to say that there would be no need to edit this post. Everyone knows what you are trying to do. IMO.

btw the optimal strategy for village would have been to no-lynch while the seer was still alive because the wolves wouldn't be able to afford skipping a kill to keep the numbers even
