Re: WW Court Version 1 - The Deliberations

These arguments are silly.. if basically everyone hates playing with someone that's good enough reason to ban.

Probation seems fair and logical.

if nofear actually said he did not care if he got lynched and was just going to post ponies in wolfchat for burn notice he should get a ww ban as well

I think the extent to which "everyone hates playing with" magic is being pretty substantially overexaggerated in this thread.

Could be. I'm definitely ignorant to the truth of that. But this thread sure makes it seem like that.

Imo clear ground rules should be laid out or this could all be repeated further down the line.

It'll definitely be a judgment call based on the circumstances. A black and white line isn't going to happen.

Master has 'lost it' a bit as recently as pixar but apparently more than once.

I'm sure I could think of more given time or more knowledge of recent games but I don't see the point. None of what they did was really against the rules (except maybe master but it was due to IRL stuff so imo a modkill was punishment enough) and it's the same sort of stuff that gazz has done. I like playing with all 3 of them most of the time and see no reason to start handing out punishments and apparently, neither does anyone else which is why I think it's odd that gazz is suddenly being singled out.
would it make you feel better if all of POG was witch-hunted at once then?

tbf i think i've seen at least half a dozen ppl express this opinion already, and i could guess a few more that would prob say that too.

hell, why don't we all PM the mods with our list of players that we hate playing with, and if anyone gets over X number of votes they get exiled from POG...who's up for that?

lol sick xposts

i'm 100% on pitch's side fwiw. clear ground rules are so obviously inefficient, the best discretion of our mods will on average yield a much better POG.

note: like Roo, i'm not advocating penalties against any of these ppl, but the double-standard is confusing, seems like it comes down to some kind of popularity contest

is he that bad? i feel like i must have played with him a few times (i can think of one for sure, but there have had to be others), but i don't recall thinking he was horrible to play with or anything. the fact that i basically have no opinion of him suggests that he can't be too terrible. idk, this all seems kinda weird and i'm not really sure where it's coming from.

all of this

Clearly not. I don't think anyone, apart from obviously way over the line people like multiaccounters, should be witch hunted like this. I don't think it's a good way to go about this sort of thing, or at least not when the accused isn't present.

I mean people were going nuts at the guy early in the thread, no ww player deserves that imo.

I agree in general principle but in this instance I think magic will be more likely to behave if he knows exactly what he's allowed to do. Feel free to disagree, it's not a big issue

Re: WW Court Version 1 - The Deliberations

nazi mod itt

imo people that ruin games with emotional spazzing and obnoxiousness to the point where the game is essentially unplayable should be treated just as harshly as people that compromise game integrity more directly.

i know people will say this is sometimes a valid strategy but there is a line where it is no longer ok and these are all judgement calls anyway so it wouldn't be any different.

So do you think that multi-accounters are the only people who can have a largely negative impact on the community?

Or do you think that people who have a largely negative impact on the community's behavior should be condoned so long as they aren't multi-accounting?

If people know exactly what they're allowed to do, they'll find loopholes in the rules and exploit them.

There's a difference between condoning behavior and having a crazy public witch hunt LDO.
