One minor thing:

I solve the puzzle then leave the browser up. It seems that when the clock hits 0 it starts counting back down from 24 hours again or something. It might be nice to say that there is a puzzle available right now.

5/5/4 today.

One thing I miss is the chance to compete/see how others here did.

Maybe we could have two days a week where we post results (images) the next day. Maybe Monday (post Tuesday after a certain 2+2 server time) and Thursday (post Friday after x server time).

If people are interested I could start a thread, and then see if we have a enough people to keep some standings..

People would just need to save their bbc codes until posting time.

anyone like the idea??

Need help with this Catalan one.

I did a test with hint and it produces the hidden word. I only looked the score (500), not the word. So your hints provide sufficient information to narrow it down to 1 word in the answer list

Well, my daughter looked at it for about 15 minutes and she couldn't find it. She is the one that cleaned up the Catalan word list, lol

If you want to play word500 in an unknown language, I recommend Italian, because it excludes 6 letters from the get go @ Standard

The most epic thing I've done upto now is guess a German word in 2. I hardly speak german, but I wrote TAFEL, which I knew was a German word and it got an amazing 140. So then I wrote FALTE and I didn't know what it meant, but it was the secret word

My strategy is spend 5 minutes putting in 7 random words and then spend 30 minutes treating it like a cryptic code puzzle for the final guess.
