It plays like Wordle and tells you about good letters, bad letters and misplaced letters. It just won't tell you WHERE they are, just HOW MANY.



Your guess "PRINT" has no correct letters in the correct spot (green), two correct letters in a wrong spot (yellow) and three letters that aren't in the word at all (red).

Because this variant is T-O-U-G-H, the wordlist has been cleansed of difficult words. The secret word should be very common, known to the average 15-year old. Also, at standard difficulty level, repeat letters are banned (like: FEVER) as well as unusual letters (JQXZ for English).

Pretty please with sugar on top: do me a favor. SHARE, SHARE, SHARE. Even if you don't like wordgames in general or this one is particular, maybe you have friends, family, colleagues or forgotten acquaintances that do.

One thing neat about this format is that if (on your 3rd or 4th turn) you get a 005, that is way, way, way more helpful than 014, or 023

At least three time I have gone from 005 to 500 on the next turn.

Definitely, and involves a different strategy than Wordle. Pretty fun, though.

Only suggestion I would make is to have your daily result be shareable. That seems to be the way these games frequently get shared.

I'm not sure if I understand the AWS statistics very well, but if I did, word500.com got 1500 visits yesterday

That would be quite good, so i suppose I am misinterpreting the numbers

I visited twice (had to try ridiculously hard mode too), gotta remember to share it on social today.

I shared it today with a small group of students in a computer lab. Literally forced them to go on the website as part of the lesson.

I had to figure out how that worked.

Fibble is awesome. My game of yesterday:

SLICE
Fibble provides the first word by default. Every round, exactly one clue is false. So it could be that one of ICE is in the word or that one of SL is not in the word OR is actually green.
My choice was to find a word that has SL and includes O and A, to have all major vocals covered.

LOAFS
So we have identified one fake already, because we have contradicting clues for the L.
I was suspicious about having an F in the secret word. So I made the assumption that the F-clue was wrong, which means that also the L is not in the word and all I have is an S.
So now I looked for a word that had S and also U and Y:

RUSTY
PROGRESS!! I was suspicious about the first two letters. If the R is correct, what can come after it, if not an U? Maybe that U is green? Maybe the R isn't green, but yellow?
With that second assumption, the next guess was easy, because 80% of the word was already visible.

TRUST

YEAH BABY! In four rounds.

My Fibble of today was equally epic. it included a hint with 4 Greens and one Yellow
I will report it tomorrow

Drat. Nearly got today's correct, just didn't take the time in the endgame. My brain is sufficiently broken that I think I'd get it a lot more often if I have pencil and paper handy, I can't seem to mentally 'lock in' letters in the right slot when I know them unless it's the first slot.
