afaict seer claims get lynched a ton in both mashes and vanillas dean

as much as people say "lol don't ever lynch a claim, it's suboptimal etc etc chipspeak soahspeak", it still happens

when people see a seer claim from someone they have a wolf read on, it pretty often just leads to confirmation bias and more tunneling

lynching iversonian was prob a perfect example, and it happened despite such a ridic lineup

Still, I think what's often overlooked by the people that continuously say "never lynch a seer claim unless its ML" or whatever is that there's a possibility of lynching a peeked villager, spewing the seer, or lynching a clearable/valuable player

sounds like you're out of touch tho dean; obvious solution is to sign up for more games

ummm ya they can happen any day, that's why lynching wolves early is good and can be worth risking a 20% or w/e chance that they really are the seer.

your conclusion about me saying that nobody should change votes makes zero sense.

I do in vanilla games

In reunion I fake peeked JD vil then realized tl was likely the seer who peeked JD wolf and never mentioned JD vil again and pushed for his lunch by day 3

if a wolf claims seer, he is a dead man walking. it's like you already lynched him early and you're now working on figuring out the who next lynch is. and of course, any lynch will carry with it uncertainty and risk.

...it's not like you lynched him early if you lynch a villager instead

then it's like you lynched him later because you did, and you get worse info from it because it will be a dead day w/ no real wagons.

this is especially true in mish mashes with a live wolf RB. a village seer is pretty much ~ vanillage at this point whereas a claim often buys a wolf PR and extra night or two to exercise their powers. any sort of shady seer claim in this situation should be snap lynched.

even in vanilla games its not the end of the world when you lynch the seer. "i'm the seer" shouldn't be magic words that can delay any wolf's lynch
If you are going to not Lynch the claimed seer it's important to cfd someone that the claimed seer doesn't want to lunch but not someone they claimed to peek

I've tried explainjng this before but nobody got it

If there's ever another live WW/Mafia game then post it here.

I found last night's entertainment to be extremely engaging in the nerdiest way possible.
